Monitor horizontal position gone wacky?

So I turned my PC off earlier today.

Turned it back on and like half of my screen was to the left. I had to change the H-position on my monitor to 100 instead of 50.

Any idea why that would happen? It may be nothing but if it's a problem i'd like to do something about it.

    If i switch to a lower resolution the monitor's horizontal setting reverts back to 50 as it has been and everything fits on the screen properly. When I go back to my regular resolution the monitor has to have the horiztonal setting at 100 again.
