My 360 is being a bitch

This disc is unreadable.

1. Clean the disc with a soft cloth
2. Restart the console

I had been blessed with a 360 that had no penchant for flashing me the RRoD, which was awesome as I'd fully expected it to do just that.

I've had it...well I dunno how long I've had it, but it's been a while, but now instead of RRoDing me it's developed a more infuriating way of showing its burning hatred for me.

The above message being that way. It's worked perfectly up till, like, yesterday when I popped in [Prototype] and got that message. I restarted the console and the game loaded fine, then a short way into my wave of destruction across infected NYC it froze and displayed said message again.

Now today I go to play Fable II and what a surprise, I get the message. So I restart the console, and take the disc out to clean it, but the disc is in perfect condition. No dust clinging to it, no stratches, no nothing. Looks as if it's brand new.

So why am I getting this message and how can I make it go the fuck away?

ADDED PROBLEM: Just because I didn't wanna make two threads, I'm also having a problem with my Wii. More specifically, the cursor. It's fucked, to put it simply.

I aim the Wiimote at the screen and the cursor appears spasming like my brother after watching City of God (a.k.a: a whole lot!) in the top left corner. It now appears that to get the cursor onto the screen properly I have to aim the Wiimote far away from the actual screen, and even then it still jerks around and moves about the screen like hell.

So what's up with THAT, and how do I stop it?

Yeah, increasing unreadable disc errors and games locking up are a sign it's heading into RROD territory.

If you're xbox is really old like one of the ones built in the first two years of release it may be because it had a hitachi drive in it. I can't remember specifics but with the old xboxes these drives were a nightmare of failure issues. This happened with my first xbox on the first night of ownership, drive fails and bam broken xbox.
