I quit a few months ago because T4 was terrible on my level 36 WL.
Also I have a computer that runs every other game on max settings and Fios but this game still ran like crap.
Have they fixed the WL class at all? Made end game better? How does it run?
Huh, on my zealot I just detaunt WL's and try to not show them my back and they're no problem. Zealots have so many panic buttons that overall I have a hard time dying with them unless more than one guy attacks me all out
I appreciate the offers on the Temp Subscriptions but I think I'm gonna hold off. I was very upset when I left and said it all in the survey after I cancelled.
Tier 4 is still a suck fest unfortunately. Tried it out as my DoK and there were some good back and forth matches but most of it was wizards doing their PBAOE crap and blowing up a whole group.
Why does AOE do more damage than single target again? And why does a BW do more up close damage then a witch elf? O_o
Seriously, on Gorfang there was a city instance. One guy with 3 botted BW's walked in and started ground pounding/AOEing 2 full warbands down to nothing.
Balance is still a huge problem in tier 4 sadly.
And it's not just RR either. Some of it is gear. That new land of the dead jewelry makes the night and day difference. I'm not saying gear shouldnt matter but between RR and gear, it seems to matter TOO much. Iono ...
Anyway I got tired of dying without much defense as my melee DoK so I switched him back to backline healing for now. He is only RR 56 but he at least all his Dark Promise stuff along with the Lost Vale weapons/equipment.
So now I'm playing a Blackguard. Hoping he might last longer as I enjoy melee much more. I know people complain about them a lot but I see potential.
That potential is the same potential every melee character has in tiers 1-3. Once you hit T4, your potential will disappear unless you have amazing Single Target DPS (aka WH, occassionaly WL, WE, Slayer, Choppa).

Oh I'm well aware of that short coming, but I hope to do my best to help keep those alive that can wreak havoc (those listed above) while also doing what I can to at least annoy people (Wave of Scorn).
Honestly though, finding a sorc to guard and just having them do the same thing that BW's do by running in and PBAOE bombing everything is a good bet. Least I get to TRY melee I've also thought about the mage slaying line but it looks meh to me at the moment so for now, Loathing is my goal (with Malice being my level spec)
If you are guarding a BW as a KotBS do you get an increase in your rep based on what the BW does? I was enjoying my knight but that was also in the lower tiers.
A couple of my RL friends want to play this, so I'm getting back into it with them, anything still going on destro side with PA people? Doesn't really matter what server we're all rolling fresh, and also which classes are still absurdly useless.

TBH, no classes are really useless. It just depends on what kind of gameplay. If you want to take keeps, and have nothing but tanks and healers, good luck.
Basically a well rounded group is a well rounded group and I have seen supposed "gimped" classes be played by semi casual players and absolutely thrash people to bits.
They were, but then they got 'fixed'. And the Chosen damage was more their AOE undefendable that was spirit damage that they could AOE debuff. Black Orc DPS is mostly about the single target AC line.
Despite being in the "Needing to be fixed" section since it's creation, I'm leveling up a Blackguard still and enjoying myself until I hit tier 4. Level 24 now on Gorfang. Still, I have hope the class will one day be not just workable but DESIRABLE to have in a group (not just pve) so I want to get him setup now before Mythic MAYBE actually fixes them one day.
Got to get him all his Dark Promise armor and weapons before that happens is my goal
And yes, Chosens took a big hit to their DPS. Brother used to run around two handed and spec'd that way but they got gimped hard. So now he's sword and shield and just refuses to die instead. Works for me

buuuut I just haven't been playing for like a month straight despite it being free so I guess that's equal to "canceled". Uninstalled the client as well. I may return once they have an expansion pack or some other exciting content coming

I used one set and have been holding onto the other for some nebulous purpose which has yet to materialize, so I figure I may as well just give it away at this point. Are the servers populated enough to level just through pvp still? I played to 40 on release really fast, but now is there a long queue wait?
Its always good to have a mix of both. There are some really choice quests out there that are simple, cool to do and offer up gobs of EXP and good rewards- particularly those epic quests.
That being said, For the most part, yes, you can still level up 100% on RvR. It can get frustrating though when you always aren't on the winning side so when times kinda slow down or when you are just getting pounded on left and right, there are usually a good many public quests and typical quests that can help you run along and progress your character and gear.
On the trial, I played this in beta but got broke and unemployed, so now since I have steady work I think I'm going to start WAR up, I love the game I think it is one of the best MMO's around and love the focus on PVP as an old school UO player and a WOW arena Junkie I think this is the game I've been waiting for.
So what server is everyone playing on? I would like to meet some of you guys on the unlimited trial and try to wait until I get paid next to buy the game, I figure I can work out what class I want to play and such in the trial before I make an investment and maybe even build up the account a bit.
So let me know whats up, so I can bust some skull with the coolest gamers around!
