I've inherited a Philips digital photo frame from my parents with the statement "if you can fix it you can have it." It's a model number 7FF1 if that matters and its got a 7" screen.
Whenever it's plugged in and turned on it flashes red for a second then seemingly turns off. Hitting the little reset button just produces the same result. I noticed though that after the flash you can sort of see a hint of what I think is menu options a little bar with "Browse Mode" displayed on it. The buttons still produce menu beeps and such there's just no telling what they're doing because the screen is dark. I've tried shining a light at an angle to try and get past the dark screen and maybe see some menu options if they're there but to no avail.
I'm curious to know if anyone else has had this problem? I've looked through the manual and any searches through Google or Philips website have no mention of this problem.
Maybe someday, they'll see a hero's just a man. Who knows he's free.
