mission covert prank: incense

My professor lights incense in his office, and I want to prank him by switching his incense with something foul. Help me brainstorm some ways of doing this... My first thought is a prank incense, but google was no help. What can I add to his or dip his in, or smear it with that will burn safe but smell? Thanks- this will be an amazing prank if it works like I want it to.

If its a chem teacher and they are yellow, look at getting sulfur, except it will completely burn, so you'd have to soak it in a diluted solution before hand. Sulfur smells kinda like rotting eggs. Just a suggestion.

yeah I'd raid the chem department for something good, ask around at school. I'd try to get a liquid and just soak the last inch or two in it(if stick, the bottom if it's a cone) so it doesn't stink until it's been going for a while, hopefully he'll leave and let it burn.
