So the internet connection at my parent’s house is faulty as hell. They have a DSL connection and have had wiring checked out numerous times by the phone company and they never found anything. The connection only last for 5 minutes before dropping. They have a service contract that in expires in March but they would prefer to get these over with and switch to cable either with EarthLink or preferable with someone else. Is there any particular way I (they) should go about breaking the contract like demand to be let go or switched over to cable? Or should I file a complaint with the FCC or the attorney general? (note: we have tried working with EarthLink on this problem in the past but nothing has ever been resolved.)
