I am living in San Francisco right now, and this weekend some friends and I are planning to go down to LA. We're planning to go on Friday night and then come back on Monday morning/afternoon.

We're definitely planning to visit Venice Beach and do some surfing, and probably visit Hollywood, but what are some other cool things that we should do while we're there?

I'm going to throw in a vote for the Page Museum.

It's a fantastic museum and really fascinating.

I really enjoyed the Getty Centre - not only is it a great museum it also has an amazing view over the city. It is a little bit annoying to get to by bus but if you are coming by car it has generous parking

LA is not a touristy place, however the highlight of LA is probably it's hollywood nightlife, if you're into that sort of thing. And show up really really early to avoid lines and bouncers that won't let you in cause you're not brad pitt.

The getty is a great museum if you're into that.

Lots of famous live music venues in LA.

Go to father's office (in culver city) for amazing burgers and HUGE beer selection and cool people (it's a bar). Or if you just want the amazing burgers, The Counter is also fucking fantastic.
