Is IGN's Best Of 2006 The Same As Your's?

Yes, it does seem to be in the wrong forum, but IGN does have a comic section on their site. I found out via a GameFAQs posting that they went and did a Best Of 2006 list for comics and I thought I'd put it up here to see if you guys agreed or not with their choices. I disagree with Best Miniseries (Beyond! or any of the Annilhation series were a lot better than IC), Best Moment (can't think of one right now), Best Publisher, Best Hero, and most certainly Best Villian (I guess being written horribly out of character makes you a better villian than Lex "let's cut this kid open and take out his organs" Luthor).

That aside, it's pretty solid.

I was going to be all mad that X--Factor didn't win best new book. But #1 came out in December 2005.

I really don't see how you can give the best publisher to anyone but Marvel. They just had such a good year. Planet Hulk, Annihilation, X-Factor, Son of M, FNSM, Runaways, Daredevil, just so much stuff that's fantastic month after month.

Best Cover: Eh, I think there were some better ones just in 52. Booster's goggles, Steel holding Natasha's helmet, and the Steel "propaganda" cover were all better I think.

Best Miniseries: Wow, really? Yeesh. I'd have to dig through everything I've bought in the past year, but I know I read some minis that were a lot better than IC.

Best Villain: I think it's kind of a stretch to call Tony a villain (now if this were for best antagonist I think he'd be perfect), but on the other hand I can't think of any really great, nuanced villains that have appeared lately. But hell, if they were giving Daredevil so much love, why not go with Kingpin?

Best Babe: Best retarded category.

Other than that, I can pretty much agree with their picks. It's good to see Nextwave and Mouse Guard get a little bit of attention too.

I don't really like them naming Cap and Iron Man hero and villain, respectively. I don't really think Iron Man is the villain here - which side of Civil War is right should be for the reader to decide.

The Donner Cut sucked balls and was completely pointless.

It's pretty clear that the pro-side of Civil War are the bad guys. They're rich, white, probably republican, and have been shown in a negative light the entire time.
