Instrument played in JoCo's set

At the end of John Coulton's set, John came out and played the song "Fancy Pants" on some kind of rhythm / beat machine. Does anyone know what that instrument is called (other than a beat machine) and who the manufacturer is?

    I actually spoke to JoCo before the final round of the Omegathon and asked him how he pulled it off - he had the Zendrum looped through a laptop, running a program I can't remember the name of... but I'm sure any midi-trigger program will work with it. :D

    The Zendrum outputs MIDI data, to a USB MIDI interface then you use a program like Trigger or Kontakt or DFH to trigger recorded samples from the MIDI data.

    He's used that zendrum at every PAX since at least PAX08, and updated the song every time, so it never gets old. It's a pretty fantastic instrument.

    I still have fond zen drum memories from PAX East 2010, when they forgot to shut it off after "Mr. Fancypants" and his walking/stomping around the stage set it off. It's on YouTube - go find it! Priceless!
