We debuted our game at PAX Prime last month and got to invite a lot of the awesome people we met into our alpha. If you missed us or weren’t able to attend, we now have invites for you!
We've got 50 invites to give to starting now!
How to get one:
Head to http://www.frostwars.com and type your email in “Request Early Access.”
Ordinarily this throws you on our alpha waiting list, but the first 50 of you to sign up will get instant access to the game.

We're building the game free from corporate control, entirely with players. This means we really rely on player input/ideas/feedback to guide the development of the game, so if you're not into strategy games or don't want to add your ideas to an early alpha, we humbly request that you leave the slots for players who might enjoy it more at this stage. You can always get in when the game is done!

About us:
A year ago we quit our jobs, huddled in the basement, and set to work on our dream game. The result is Frost Wars: The Rise of Fatty Sparkles - a turn-based strat about an arms dealing polar bear.
The Story! :
Frost Wars has overtaken the Arctic, where a mystical tribe of Eskimos lived in peace until visionary mega-corporation Toxi Co. rolled in, looking to acquire the purest ice on Earth. A freak drilling accident unleashes mysterious goo that mutates local animals, and a war for survival breaks out.
You pick a side and go head to head in 2-4 player battles on multiple maps, with various game modes. You have customizable squads, badass weapons, and a bunch of other cool features.

It should also be noted that due to a quirk in the forum software, your link in the OP to www.frostwars.com is broken. If you don't include the "http://", then it does some weird relative linking or such where it basically just links you back to this thread.
Maybe Tube will edit that for you, since it's kind of a weird feature of the forums here, but if not, it's not like it's too hard for people to figure it out :P

I may have found a bug? I hit the "X" button on the menu. According to the person I played (I asked after), it is supposed to collapse the menu? Well, it made everything go away. I basically lost the entire interface besides the map and units, with no way to get it back.
And huh, apparently the guy I was playing and told about this was a dev. So that's cool.
I enjoyed that game, although I want to play a few slower ones now so I can get the hang of things.
