Swapping desktop pc innards to Tower case?

jagermeister73jagermeister73 Registered User regular
So I've got this comp. Dad's girlfriend works at college and bought one of their outdated comps for me. It's great for surfing the net and whatnot but there is no feasible way to get a graphics card into the agp slot cause it's a desktop style case, ie it lays down horizontal. So I've got this old comp, the cpu fried and was wondering if I could somehow take out the desktop mobo and stuff and place it into the mid tower case? Would the screw hole line up and whatnot?

Well it depends on what form factor the mobo is. And that depends on how old it is. But if it's ATX, mATX, BTX or mITX, then it's no prob swapping out for a new case.
