How do i make a simple wallpaper + audio track video for youtube?

I have the picture, i have the .wav or .mp3

How do i make a video that's just the picture and the whole audio track?

This shouldn't be complicated but all the free tools i find are cut at 5 minutes or less

    Windows media maker defaulting to 3 seconds of video and making you guess a full mix in seconds (when you finally find the option to change it) is madness but that was the ticket.

    Lightworks is a great free video editor. It may be a little daunting at first but basically you just drop your picture and your song into the timeline and make sure they are the same length. IIRC there's even a preset to export to a Youtube compatible format.
