Closest comparison is with Clash Royale but with more emphasis on PvE, this is a game where you deploy units along lanes of battle to destroy the enemy's base across a multitude of maps!

At launch there are 14 different leaders and 54 troop types to collect, each customizable with one of 3 talents.

    I've been having fun casually playing the game for a couple of months since the regional closed beta and have collected most of the troops available. In fact, it is encouraged to get a higher collection level to increase the overall rewards you get per match.

    The biggest downside currently is the load times that can get excessive when compared to other mobile games.

    I started playing this today, quite a fun little game, not as mindless as a regular auto battler, and doesn't feel super predatory either. At least not early on I'm sure later it'll be like "MONEY PLEASE!"

    I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

    from what i can tell, a lot of the in-game shop real money options are just pay to progress but there's really no pressure to buy them right now. When raids eventually become available, the per troop level requirement might change things. We've only seen a glimpse of the Onyxia raid during the beta and I think noone managed to beat it
    Definitely try to join a guild to get the guild rewards, the first tier reward this month is Sylvannas!

    I will say I gave the game one whole dollar for some horde fodder brave soldiers. And man those 3 troops (ogre mage, frost wolf raider and shaman) have carried. Best dollar I spent.

    Cleared my first dungeon. That was fun, being able to start each boss fight with a rune that carried forward was a neat play.

    It gets grindy after a while but at least each dungeon run contributes to the daily quest and there's a soft cap after you've filled all the army slots / upgraded each of slot twice. I think there's even a catch up mechanic if your leader is at a much higher level than the dungeon so you upgrade more than once each run
    And you'd want those army upgrades, at least for PvE. Thats an extra +3 levels on affected troops!

    Yeah I figure I'll hit a cap. God damn Maeve forced me to work some quests because she was kicking my nuts in. I figure now with the army upgrades I'll be in a better place.

    Is there a PA guild for this? I just hit "level" 10 and don't really want to join a bunch of randos.

    no PA guild yet, doesn't seem to be popular here either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
    joining any active guild should be fine, just need to either PvP or clear arclight surge event when you unlock them to contribute to clan progression for the rewards
