PS3 Fanboys are such doucebags

So I work for a cell phone company which happens to run a kiosk inside of a Wal-Mart. So yesterday I'm sitting in my kiosk (which is right next to electronics), and the guy from electronics comes over to me.

I guess they had been letting all their customers know they were getting a big shipment of PS3's yesterday, so there is a line of 10-12 people standing there salivating for their chance to own the POS 3. The electronics guy comes up to me and says, a little too loudly, "Hey, we only got one PS3 in the shipment, and we all (the electronics employees)already bought ours... do you wanna buy this one?"

At that moment I see the line of people go crazy when they realize only one of them will get a PS3, and if I say I want it, that they are all fucked.

So I ponder it for a moment, and then say, "I think I'd rather go home, play some Gears of War, and save $600. I would like to pre-order Halo 3 though." And of course you know I said that a little too loud as well, because the line went into lynch-mob mode. Their anger over not being able to get one after standing in line for hours and waiting for weeks, combined with my complete indifference to that shitty system, sent them over the edge.

Twenty minutes later, after being called many names I won't repeat here, most of them were escorted out, and one guy got to buy one (who will probably Ebay it anyway), and I went home and played with all my friends on Xbox Live.

    Games and Technology...maybe. But I don't see this ending well there, either.

    Games and Technology would be more appropriate, but think twice before you post any thread about "fanboys" here. We're not really interested in calling one another stupid for buying one thing over another. Lurk a bit, you'll see.

    Well I wasn't exactly trying to call them stupid, It was more of an attempt to get people to post different stories about the crazy/bizarre things people have seen fanboys do. You know, like, "What's the craziest thing you've seen a fanboy do?"

    Man, I've never actually seen one in real life, or at least not one that displayed amusing doucebaggery.

    My brother refuses to get an X360 and is holding out for the PS3 because he likes Final Fantasy. I, on the other hand, own an X360 and am hedging my bets on the PS3, being skeptical of Sony and underwhelmed by the demo PS3.

    Maybe that's my example.
