How do you guys get these cool custom buttons and such? I understand how to get the Themes, but not all these cool icons that makes the desktop look so damn awesome.

AveDesk will probably serve you best here, although I'm not sure it's free.

100% free.
Dìrhael, you make me weep for my shitty monitor
I feel for you, I was stuck with my old shitty one way to long... In the end, I had to prioritize my eyes and upgrade. Not that expensive, very good value for the monkeys, so I'm satisfied

Just installed KDE in Ubuntu, and wow, I'm surprised at how much faster KDE is compared to Gnome:

It looks lovely, if I may say so. I just took the screenshot and removed the speed/height/heading from the lower left corner, and then optimized. No filters or anything.
I have a few more pretty pics I made in the game, in case anyone wants.[/img]
Is that a Rainlendar skin? If so, gimme!
(If not, still gimme)
Do you think you could tell me where you got that desktop skin or what its called?

@ rayofash, Talonrazor & Flesh Into Gear ... here you go, a clean version of that wallpaper
@ LaCabra : It is a LG L204WT-SF, and it was around $435 at the current exchange rate. Well worth it I'd say, as it feels really good to work with, with some excellent contrasts & black really is black
I'll search around for it when I'm back on my desktop for you guys - I found it after about an hour of looking for Ghost in the Shell wallpapers, was the coolest one I'd found.
edit: wait, it's on my macbook anyways, I'll just find it now and upload it.
double edit: hrm, will have to wait, can't seem to get it to resize it properly.

Dìrhael, what skin are you using for your objectdock?
It's not Objectdock, it's RK Launcher. The background/skin is just a quick little something I made in Photoshop and while I haven't really bothered to upload it earlier, I've zipped it and upped it here for you
If you need the icons as well, let me know and I'll upload them.
I'm using the "Inspirat" visual theme (linked in the OP) on my WinXPpro system.
I adore the theme, but I have one problem - I also use AutoCAD.
Unfortunately, the visual theme does something to my toolbar buttons in autocad - it spaces them way out horizontally.
Each toolbar has a "field" for the buttons to sit in - and the "field" doesn't change in length to accomodate the buttons that are now spaced further apart.
The result is my toolbars losing several buttons that are now "out of the range" of the field to display them.
The question is this: is there anything I can do to exempt just AutoCAD from the Inspirat visual style?
If I could have just the standard, default windows visual style for AutoCAD, and Inspirat for everything else - that would be perfect.
Any ideas on what I can do? Or am I just screwed here.

Not possible using visual styles. If you were using Windowblinds, it wouldn't be a problem though.
Don't know where to put this but since there isn't a Linux thread here currently, and considering it's within the desktop topic:
This might turn out to be the slickest looking version of Ubuntu yet, maybe even possibly the slickest looking distribution of Linux:

I'm unfamiliar with how windowblinds works - can it interperet the inspirat visual style then? Or does windowblinds use it's own type of file format, and I'd need to find a "windowblinds" style that I liked that was similar?
A small update to my setup, I finally got around to modding LE to use silver instead of beige. My next challenge is to mod the new LE so it has this color scheme.
edit: Does anyone know a way to raise the maximum limit for song titles in an avetunes skin?
edit again: Never mind, seems to be a problem with the skin not its configuration that's keeping the song names out of the picture.

I'm finally starting to get rid of the feeling that Linux, Xubuntu, XFCE and Beryl hates me.
TheLong: Read first post.
Ahhh, so you're telling me I'll have to reduce the resolution on my own? Gee, I really wish I had an up to date set-up.
Edit: Thanks for letting me know it was there.

Wow. That is nice enough that I switched from the old VS I was using (Waning Luna or something along those lines, it was nice and black).

All your H-Scroll are belong to me.
I'm in the process of samurzing my desktop again. I should probably get a new style for the start menu and such as well.
