Please read the details for the individual games before posting high scores. In particular, be sure to follow the format shown in the "quotes" for that game. Thank you.

(Just updated the thread at 06:16 AM)

Hello fellow high score obsessed Wii owners, this is the thread to take all of those points that you've been racking up through various games and put them to good use. Namely, seeing how some of your personal bests among your own Wii game collection stack up against other players here. High marks from mini game extravaganzas, recorded stats from single player games, points accumulated via eliminating blocks (or viruses), and astounding accomplishments in the fine art of zombie slaying (or diminutive Ganado slaying), among many other easily quantifiable score based activities, will all be part of the curriculum here.

Link's Crossbow Training

uqgqu7ymh2vxeirpuhqoinm.jpg

For this game, high scores will be based on:

Link's Crossbow Training Score Attack Levels and Stages

Level 1 (Ordon Target Practice, Gerudo Stalfos: Defender, Arbiter's Grounds: Ranger), Level 2 (Gordon Target Practice, Zora River: Defender, Skull Shooting), Level 3 (Kakiriko Target Practice, Fruit Balloons, The Great Bridge: Defender), Level 4 (Zora River Target Practice, Hyrule Castle: Defender, Skulltula Forest: Ranger), Level 5 (Oocca Target Practice, Gerudo Moldorm: Defender, The Shootout), Level 6 (Ordon Target Practice 2, Bridge of Eldin: Defender, Snowpeak Ruins: Ranger), Level 7 (Underground Target Practice, City in the Sky: Defender, Temple of Time: Ranger), Level 8 (Horseback Target Practice, Snowpeak Ruins: Defender, Darknut Battle), and Finale (Ranch Target Practice, Sacred Grove: Defender, Fossile Stallord Battle)

All high scores submitted for this game should have the following format:
Link's Crossbow Training Score Attack High Scores

Level Played / Award Given / Personal Best

Your Name / Stage / Points Scored

But how will the High Scores that are posted be used to form concise rankings among participating forumers?

Trying to keep this as simple as possible, here is the breakdown that has been determined:
Overall award given for the Level takes precedence as the main determining factor here. Simply put, a Platinum award beats out Gold, a Gold award beats out Silver, etc.
Personal best for the level is the next and last part of your results used in determining the order for this. This is the high scores for all the stages added up. The higher personal best will determine the outcome if the awards given for the level in question are equal.

Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles

rbbk6krhxpn6ke5dpqq5rx6.jpg

For this game, high scores will be based on:

The Games Difficulty Setting

Normal or Hard (No results will be recorded for the Easy difficulty setting)

Umbrella Chronicles Scenario and Chapter Rankings

Train Derailment (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3), Beginnings (Chapter 1, Chapter 2), Mansion Incident (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3), Nightmare (Chapter 1, Chapter 2), Rebirth (Chapter 1, Chapter 2), Raccoon's Destruction (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3), Death's Door (Chapter 1), Fourth Survivor (Chapter 1), Umbrella's End (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3), Dark Legacy (Chapter 1, Chapter 2)

All high scores submitted for this game should have the following format:
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles Player Results

Difficulty Setting / Scenario Played / Overall Rank

Your Name / Chapter (Clear Time / Rank / Files Obtained)

But how will the Player Results that are posted be used to form concise rankings among participating forumers?

Trying to keep this as simple as possible, here is the breakdown that has been determined:
Overall rank for the scenario takes precedence as the main determining factor here. Simply put, S rank beats out A rank, A rank beats out B rank, etc.
Strength of the chapter rankings within the aforementioned scenario is next. For instance, if you have a scenario with three chapters and all of them are S ranked individually, it would beat out that same scenario played by someone else where only two of the chapters were S ranked and the other one had an A rank. They might both be S ranked overall, but the one containing better ranks for the chapters themselves will be advancing up the Best Player Results list higher.
Files obtained is the next set of criteria. Pretty self explanatory, all of the files obtained from the chapters within a scenario are added together and any poster with a higher amount of files obtained is going to take precedence assuming all things are equal for the scenario and chapter rankings so far.
And finally, clear time will be the last part of your results used in determining the order for this. The clear times for all of the chapter will be added up. The lower overall time will determine the outcome if all of the rankings and number of files obtained are equal.

Nice scores there Slash, just added those to the list.

The points you racked up on Levels 3, 4, and 6 look especially tough to beat. I'll post mine soon here so we can get some competition going here. I have a feeling it will be awhile before anyone best your level 3 scores though. 161560 points on the Fruit Balloons stage? Damn.

Also, I meant to point out in the OP that high score discussion and general tips is also just fine. That should have been in there as it will give the thread some added content along with the points that people post. Very good start here though.

Oooh, high score and Tips discussion sounds fun! Anyone can ask me about whatever score(s) I end up posting; I put up my Link's CBT scores because I felt that they were fairly solid, with a couple (as Rehab mentioned) that are particularly strong, while others are a tad weak.

Just as a side note, in case anyone was wondering, all of the scores I posted for Link's CBT were acquired exclusively with the Wii Zapper that came with the game :P

Alright, lets do this. The spoiler format that you used for your scores looks really good so I'll stick with that. And yeah, using the Wii Zapper for the game is the only way to go. However, I will say right now that I did not use that controller on the Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles results that I'll be posting later on. I tried it with that game but found it to be too cumbersome for some of the quick time events and counter attacks. Those are the only light gun games that I have now, although I will probably be getting House of the Dead: Overkill at some point as that looks like an awesome game.

    Anyway . . .

What's the general feeling on this light gun? I've heard of Link Crossbow Training, and I've seen that Nerf game floating around. Are either of these any good?

The House of the Dead handcannon is a great light gun, if you can find it.

Yeah, I know. I actually kind of addressed the issue in the post just above you though because I simply don't own the game. For the moment, I'm just sticking with the games that I do own because I'm more familiar with how to set up the guidelines for them and how points are scored. If someone else wants to write up something for Overkill though, using a similar format to what I have, I'll throw it up in the OP with Link's Crossbow Training and Umbrella Chronicles.

For the record, the games I own besides the ones already in the first couple posts include: Sonic and the Secret Rings, No More Heroes, Okami, Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Obviously, some of those games wouldn't work well for a thread like this. I might include one or two of those games later though depending on how many people post scores for what is already in this thread.

Meh, I've had a couple of other threads like this where I had to do a lot of updates and its not really that big of a deal. The main point here is that instead of going all over the place through various links all the scores can just be condensed here, making it much easier to view. As long as all the high score posts that people make and the discussion all takes place here, the overall high score lists might as well too.

Now because all the games mentioned so far have been of the light gun variety, here are my best results for Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles:

Also, anyone posting scores for this game doesn't have to do the summaries for the scenarios. I can do that myself, all that is needed is the other info. If anyone wants to ask me anything about my results feel free to. My end goal is to get S rank on all the chapters and scenarios but I'm not quite there yet.
