Well, I was gonna try this but the patching cancelled itself over night and then it has to start all over when it fails. So, by the time this gets done I'll have a day to try it. Why's the patcher so slow?
They should really announce free weekends a week ahead and let everyone pre-download/patch the whole damn thing. I've ran into the same problem trying to do free weekends with other games.

They did announce it a week ahead and let you download/patch it. I know, because I downloaded/patched mine last weekend. It doesn't stop people from finding out about it or waiting until the last minute to patch their stuff, though.
No offense, but that sounds like a problem on your end.
My machine runs every modern game I've put in it just fine. Usually better than fine. This game seems quite unoptimized, but it's not even a graphics thing. I can deal with less than stellar framerate, it's more that the game just seems unresponsive and kind of meh.
I guess I've just had enough of City of Heroes.
I'm gonna second the problem being on your end. The game runs great and looks great on my machine. I have all the graphics settings turned up to the maximum, including shadows. I turned off the comic style outlining though. I don't like that.

Anyone else having problems logging in, I am getting stuck at retrieving characters.
This also happened last weekend. Hope they find out what the issue is, because the server crashing like clockwork every Saturday at 4:00 CST is kind of an issue.
Okay, so I was finally able to get it patched and try it. But while playing it, it seemed like everything would randomly flicker black, like the whole city would just disappear. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or what.. do any of you know anything about it?

Also make sure you're playing in Fullscreen and not Window mode. I've heard people have the flickering problem while in Windows, but not in Fullscreen.
I liked Ego Storm so much that I am going to build a Telepathy toon...however, I have NO idea what's good.
I put a quick build together below but I'm not sure if anything sucks, can be replaced or if I am missing something I absolutely need.
Presence and Ego are the superstats but what should I go for for the 3rd and 4th stats?
EGO is fairly useless as a superstat unless you're also stacking DEX for crits. I just respecced my level 27 Telepathy gal and dropped it for INT, gaining a 40% energy discount on all powers in return. With Empathic Healing keep in mind it breaks on damage, so unless you have Mindful Reinforcement you won't be able to use it to heal yourself in combat (with MR you just bubble yourself beforehand).
As far as secondary stats from gear I recommend Recovery and Endurance. On top of upping your equilibrium (which is very useful with Ego Storm's big initial cost, since with too low an energy level it'll just instantly go on cooldown) it'll also play nice with Regen.

Defensive combo with advantage to give me 2 stacks of defiance after three hits. (activates Laser Knight)
Plink away with Flashfire and Pyre with a bit of Fireball+Heat Wave when I get a chance, Chest Beam if Heat Wave is still on Cooldown.
Pop Resurgance when things get shaky.
Reapeat as necessary.
Took a while, but he couldn't overwhelm my defenses, and I eventually wore him down.

Yeah, I took PRE and INT as my superstats, then with talents prioritized those two and grabbed REC and END as secondary stats on the multi-stat talents. Similar with gear.
Experiment with how much Endurance you really need, I found that with the Intelligence energy discount I didn't really need that high a total; as long as my equilibrium was high enough to allow me to toss out Ego Storm and the odd MR without the risk of bottoming out the maximum doesn't really matter that much.
Where might I find some details about the Bloodmoon stuff? The main site and the guys by the helicopters give an overview, but not much else (unless I just completely missed it, which is quite possible).

Some how they managed to make Command Animals even at Rank 3 both suck and blow. An everyday henchman can kill them without any trouble.

How often can you use that new Celestial power that gives you an auto-crit?
Because if you can auto-crit reliably, you don't need Dex that much.
That power also makes your Crit severity based on your Con for that hit. Not Ego. And its a once-per-30s power.

It's fuckin' awesome is what it is! I'm critting for 4k every thirty seconds with Force Cascade now.
Its in a set with Con as a suggested stat. What did you expect?
