Beppo was retconned out of existence following the original Crisis on Infinite Earths. The Monk of Might made his first canonical appearance in more than twenty years in the fifth and final issue of the Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds series (September 2009). Before that, Beppo had been returned to existence briefly by the Psycho-Pirate during the earlier Infinite Crisis.

He moved on to spotlight some fans in the audience who were wearing not the popular colored Lantern t-shirt, but shirts featuring Johns' face on a coin saying "In Johns We Trust" to which the writer joked, "DC will be releasing those coins soon."
i was going to make a joke about vomiting blood but then i realized geoff johns has ruined that too
Yeah, that's the main complaint that I've heard, that the ending was really dumb. There was a great "Blackest Night in 60 Seconds" comic posted in Graphic Violence, but I can't find it at the moment.
so who wants to see a preview image thing of the new heinberg young avengers project it's me I do

"Casanova" returns from Icon this year as well, first in trade form with remastered colors and new material before the Matt Fraction, Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon series starts up again with new stories.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
not only does this mean more Casanova, it proves that Marvel is willing to give its big creators deals with Icon beyond Brubaker and Bendis
i can only hope Gillen and McKelvie get bigger and higher profile marvel work until they can bring Phonogram back
on a side-note I finally finished up Avengers Forever today and I can see why it's considered one of the best classic Avengers stories ever. There's one part like 2/3 of the way through where they spend like an entire issue trying to make it fit into past continuity which is like ok ok I get it but it picks right back up again and has a fantastic finish.
Busiek is awesome.
Plus he writes Janet as a totally capable leader which is pretty cool.

Sars Im not sure what you think I'm arguing but it certainly dosen't have anything to do with what I've actually said.
unless you're somehow saying that Matt Fraction still a relative unknown
which uh, sorry to break this news to you bucko, but he's on the Bendis fastrack.

im not arguing anything
my point was that Matt Fraction joining Icon is something I didn't expect to happen and that it now seems like a slightly more viable way for my favorite comic book to come back
I mean he's basically the head guy for the entire X-line, he's a big deal there now.

ya, i don't know about Icon really being used to unknowns. it is for marvel's creator-owned stuff. which means marvel proper doesn't get as much of a cut when selling those books. thus they are likely to only really trust Icon books with big named people they know will sell well.
or in order to cement a contract for a big name that has always wanted to do creator owned stuff.

I mean Ive loved the majority of Johns' stuff, but Infinite Crisis was a complete abomination so maybe he's just not built for mega events.
it started out fine
in the end it was so incredibly silly
