Yeah, the manga is pretty good. How far into it are you?
For a sports manga, it does a pretty decent job of presenting the sport, although it is rather ridiculous at times. Well, most of the time.
The anime is fairly terrible, though.
I'm up to their match with
Shinryuji Naga, Looking forward to seeing Agon getting his ass handed to him
Maybe I should go back and re-read the series. I barely remember that match beyone a few specific points.
Match Spoiler
If I remember correctly, they get beat the fuck out of the entire 1st Half, then make a hilariously improbably comeback the second half. Like, they were down 48-3 or somthing crazy like that.
It also has one of the best Eyesheild run's. olol stiffarm on Agon.
It's also the same game Monta becomes the best reciever in Japan I think.
Not in Japan, I think, since there's still Taka, the Ace's Son after the Nagas.
To expound on the Naga match, they also had to score a touchdown in the last minute, from the end of the field. Cray-zy.
I love the Naga match because of angry Sena. Agon's comeuppance tasted so sweet.
I like that Jumonji gets a chance to shine. He's always been a background character with slightly more backstory than the other two Ha-Ha brothers, but he's just an ordinary person who manages to beat Agon.
"We're not brothers!"

That article isn't saying what you are claiming it is saying. It's making a pretty specific point (large multiday rides) and you are making a broad generalisation from that point (all rides).
25 is a hellovah lot younger than 32.
And let's not get into the whole "wtf does cycling have to do with fantasy magic?"

About that image.
It looks like a second device.
There's a note on the image about raising/raging heart implying this.
Something about RH having a flying autonomous mode for when Nanoha is using the Strike Cannon and also RH seems to be able to use some of Nanoha's magic to protect her while she's using it.
My guess-prediction is that it is a specialised long-range experimental weapon designed for her, above and beyond what RH can do.

All I see in that image is a fairly generic looking anime girl holding a giant sword-like thing that looks so needlessly complicated the character designers for recent Final Fantasy games would blush.
(hey if someone says an image is the coolest thing ever I see no reason why one can't judge it without context!)

pretty sure that's supposed to be a rail cannon or something

I meant to write "a professional race schedule," but the guy they interviewed also talked about his inability to recover from one race before the next.
I'm not saying she'd reached her limit at that point, but it's not like you wake up on your 32nd birthday and find that all your muscles fell off. 25 seems like a reasonable time for the process to start.
Cycling is just a random case of physical exertion that I had info about.

That's about the right of it. Nanoha is involved in testing alot of cannons of this type.
First mention here in the A's to StrikerS bridge manga
Seems like they finally found one vaguely portable enough for field use, but unfortunately the only ones who can deal with the ridiculous requirements to operate in their testing team are Nanoha and Vita.
The principle is that instead of channeling the user's magical power to produce magical effects, the cannon uses their magical power to create physical effects. It functions both as a railgun and a lance-type weapon.
As for Raising Heart, it's another modification that it requested to be of use to Nanoha. When she's wielding this cannon, she obviously can't hold RH in any of its previous modes. Consider it an extension of the form it took during the end of StrikerS when Nanoha activated Blaster Mode. She can still use it as a staff to produce various effects (think wireless transmission of magical power), as close combat protection (cutting edge similar to her spear form, I guess), and just general device capability of helping her fly.

Good show but I was slightly disappointed that they didn't include a couple details from the novels. Ah well.
Now go watch Durarara!!!

Hahaha what kind of a ridiculous transformation is this?
The best possible solution here is for Nodoka to decide that yes, the threesome is the only viable plan and use that to jog her memory.
Nanoha Force 5
Oh great, more broken anti-mage powers to prevent Nanoha and co from unleashing their full potential. =(
Cypha seems interesting.
Yessssssssss Signum
Please don't job >_<
Still no new ViViD...
Sounds like she needs something to hold her back. At her age, she should at least be seeing her power growth slowing down and her ability to recover after a strenuous fight fading, given that cyclists are apparently unable to keep up a cycling schedule after age 32.

nanoha's still lame as hell
Oh okay
I stand by my Final Fantasy statement though!

That's deep Zand. Deep. Where's it from?
Yeah that was kind of unnecessary and mean.

He PM'd me about it already. I wasn't being serious.
I'm sorry, I shall rescind my comment.
In the future, though, it's best to know that I'm not a very serious person.
Except for when I'm super serious.
So you DO like Rosario+Vampire after all!
I will personally come over and burn all your merchandise if you want.
