Eh, I'm pretty sure Jeff has enough sense not to get too fucked up right before a match. Even with the reports of his condition before the PPV he was able to perform without incident. Not that this is a good thing of course, it doesn't give him much incentive to get clean.
I still shake my head in disbelief he's still TNA champ.
The wrestling industy doesn't need another drug related death so we all want him to get clean. Problem is Jeff either doesn't want to or is unwilling. TNA isn't helping matters.

OK I've read reports Joe is currently working without a contract in TNA.
I think he deserves a chance in WWE. It will give him an opportunity to get away from the Samoa Joe character for a bit and try something different. And if it doesn't work out he can always go back to using the name again in TNA or the indys.
One article about Joe's contract situation said his friends in WWE include Punk, Bryan, Kaval, and Bourne. What about Cena? I'm pretty sure I remember reading they go way back with each other in the indys and if so he'd be the most influential in getting Joe into WWE.

Cena and Joe are friends, but not guys that keep in touch all the time like Joe would be with Punk and Bryan.
I could see Joe coming to WWE; they definitely wouldn't mind having him, and if he can handle the beginnings where Vince buries him for working in TNA, then he could get over pretty well.

Cena probably works way way too much to have contact with many people outside the company
I'm conflicted on exactly who to blame for Taz's lackluster WWE run, as a wrestler at least. He comes in and has a great debut versus Angle but then a week later the Radicals show up and he gets completely lost in the shuffle. Then he gets injured and returns as a heel, starts what on paper was a great feud with Lawler but then gets stuck in a dead-end tag team with Raven, starts doing commentary and is pretty good at it, and finally ends his career as tag champs with Spike so at least it was somewhat a happy ending. Honestly I never bought him as a major title contender.
I think it's also the fact he started losing a lot right before his injury in mid-2000. I don't think it was WWE deliberately trying to bury him but it wasn't what his fans were used to in ECW. Oh well, considering he had to retire two years after his WWE debut maybe it was for the best he never made it to the main event level.

Anyone know what Teddy Hart has been up to recently? I heard he got fired from AAA mostly because half the locker room wanted to beat the shit out of him.

Probably doing cocaine, steroids and backflips, in that order.
Seriously I can't believe people actually think WWE would re-hire him again. They're way past the "fool me twice" phase of that relationship.
And when TNA won't even bring him in you know what a colossal risk Teddy must be.
Edit: Apparently Teddy Hart went through rehab just recently. Reports are saying Bret Hart told him to clean up and get his shit together so he might have a third shot with WWE. If all this is true then good for Ted but I still doubt WWE even wants to give him another chance, with good reason.

At first I thought you guys were talking about Teddy Long.
For me, Tazz had the distinction of being the most seemingly legit badass of all pro wrestlers back in his ECW days.
He was awesome.
He was muscular, but not in a gay Randy Orton way. Muscular in a way that only happens if you are removing the many corpses that pile up after your bar fights.
I remember once, way after he stopped wrestling, there was some bit in WWE where someone bumped into him in the ring, and there was this terrible 'uuuoooh shhhit' noise from the crowd. They still remembered that bumping into Taz was unwise.
But of course by then he was a comedy potatoe of a man.

I don't think his being hammered at their last PPV is going to help him in court at all
Because as he performs said swanton, he'll be blasted out of his mind on four different substances, land on his fucking face, and snap his neck.
I still shake my head in disbelief he's still TNA champ.
yeah he is drug fucked
you should probably just let it go

That's gonna continue to happen long after Jeff's bought the farm.
Team him with the Usos and Tamina in a Samoan Stable of Doom? Turn Santino Samoan as the next step in his torrid love affair?
And whatever about Jeff Hardy...at least the WWE let him design Seamus' crown.
Is this a legit rumor or something?
No idea, it was mentioned at the end of that article quoted earlier.

The Samoan Death Stable would be sweet though.
