The best part of AC2 was the genetic memory branching off after he spunked out Desmond's ancestor. Could not stop laughing.

indiana jones really isn't the same thing at all

    It is the same.

In the sense that people flipped their shit at the new one being really weird and crazy when it was actually pretty much in-line with the level of craziness of the previous indiana joneses.

Just like the craziness at the end of assassin's creed 2 is pretty much par for the course for assassins creed

None of the other Indiana Jones movies had any aliens in it. It was all "faith based" fantasy.

Aliens in a fictional setting are inherently no less believable than the existence of various deities.

    THANK YOU

I never understood the people who lost their shit about the latest indy being too out there

"aliens did it" is much more believable than a box that shoots ghosts at you until your face melts off

it was the presentation that killed it

Fate of Atlantis did a much better job of handling aliens in the Indiana Jones universe as "otherworldly beings" who contacted the Atlanteans. It was pretty obviously aliens but it still felt like a better fit with the mystical/supernatural elements in the previous Indy movies.

Well its less believable when you're not religious, yes. Religious people generally buy that shit, I gather.

Yeah, if you want to complain about Indy 4 then do it for the legitimate reasons, like some of the writing, and the over-reliance on CGI backdrops, etc.

(I will never not see an Indy movie in theaters, though, it is just the way things are)

Well, in real life I'm more inclined to believe that somewhere in the universe there are other intelligent beings than I am to believe in any gods, but in fiction you can call the two pretty much equally plausible

You ever play that HL2 mod "The Ship"? I am pretty sure it's like that. You are an assassin. You're target is another assassin. Kill them before they kill you and don't let them see you.

    Do you see eyes?

If yes, do they belong to another assassin?

    If yes, stab them.

yes! that is what I've been trying to remember as far as the sneaky assassination multiplayer combat, thank you, that's been driving me nuts

although I think that had like, snipers and stuff picking people off too, right? or no? same thing? can't recall

    anyway
