Also the best LA tradition is Bacon-wrapped Hot Dogs being cooked and sold outside of all the bars and clubs. Sure you risk disease, as they are made by Mexican families with no food license on small carts, but it's totally worth it for the taste.
I don't actually know anyone that has contracted anything from a "danger dog" yet to be honest. You are eating delicious food, and supporting poor Mexican families who need to make a living. It's a win-win situation.

i have been to mexico! granted that was a church thing in like the poorest city in the country and the family was in the middle of a giant trash dump
but no chipotle is delicious, who cares if it is good "mexican food". it tastes good
Ah well there is no accounting for taste I suppose. I never liked it because I was used to better tasting food. To me it came off as a bad imitation of something much tastier I guess.
If they were cheaper I would also be more inclined to eat there. I actually go to Taco Bell sometimes because of the price, even though the food tastes pretty awful. If Chipotle were to try and compete with Taco Bell price-wise, then I would actually go there sometimes.

also why would you assume I have eaten from some california taco trucks
I didn't assume. All I figured was that you must live somewhere in the US. Therefore you may have tried food from SoCal. If you admitted to not having SoCal Mexican food, then I would have understood why you like Chipotle.
In fact, I do understand why you like it now.

I grab a burrito from Moe's every now and then. They're fucking huge for what you pay, they have some decent salsas that you can steal a ton of. It is what it is. The dumb argument against places like that are based on a faulty premise.
Oh come on man. Have you ever eaten from the various taco trucks and privately-owned burrito places in LA? How about the little Mexican fast-food joints in San Diego?
There's no way you could have had Mexican food like that and then think Chipotle tastes good. And if you're like me and have had Mexican food in Mexico itself, well that makes all those places I just mentioned look like Taco Bell.
Hell McDonald's owns Chipotle. Think about that for a second. You are not eating good Mexican food!
news flash
not everyone from mexico eats or considers the same kind of food to be good or authentic
the fuck is wrong with you
yeah, I used to live in southern california
i'm also aware that the style of mexican food we eat in southern california is pretty different than that of the part of mexico much farther than the east. yucatan and southern mexico? man, i don't even have any idea.
anyway
i know mexican folks who love them some mcdonalds
they have a menu that hopes to accomodate the taste of the people who live in that particular area
so yeah
"good mexican food"
as if you'd be the expert based upon eating out of a few places in san diego
maybe you could treat "mexico" as something diverse that might not be able to be divided into good, bad or authentic, in this case when it comes to say... cuisines or tastes

each and every time it has been the same episode, the one where they try out for the Eagles
it was pretty hilarious but I never catch a different episode
We already knew you were uncultured swine, you don't need to keep saying things to prove it
But yeah saying chipotle is bad because it's not as good as authentic mexican food is dumber than a brain damaged donkey. That's like saying burger king sucks because it's not Ruth's Chris.

"cultured" is hardly the word to describe what I say in that show
Usually McDonald's can go fornicate itself, but man those chicken McNuggets... I looked up how they make them, and it's this incredibly long process of pulverizing, freezing, seasoning, refreezing and finally frying.

I wish I could afford to eat them all the time.
This is the only thing, the only thing, I ever get at McDonald's.

Yes chipotle clearly sucks because you have something you like more in your neighborhood.
Also the sheer quality difference in the ingredients is the reason chipotle costs more. Unlike taco bell, chipotle uses ingredients that would normally be considered actual food.
Yes, Taco Bell clearly sucks because you like chipotle better.
Taco bell is fine for what it is, which is a place to go at 2 am and get some tacos because nothing else is open. It most certainly is not high quality food and you definitely get what you pay for.

Not even with ketchup sometimes.
They are sooooo tasty.
Granted I haven't eaten at a Chipotle in a few years, but the quality of meat was somewhere between dog food and Slim Jim.
I am okay with this.
But I'm not a huge fan of burritos and stuff.
But what do you guys think of candy? I love me some milk chocolate truffles.
I gotta get to godiva and get my free truffle for the month.
Man licking the stuff from the spatula is the beeeeesttt.
