Just saw this, thank you! Here are some pictures I managed to get with my shitty phone camera, for those who weren't there/didn't see before I changed for fancy dinner:
It was based off one of Nat's personal PB designs:
I commissioned a friend to make it for me since I don't have a sewing machine down here, but she forgot to put the sparkly tulle layer on the sash so it was just shiny instead of sparkly...

With Apho, who was an oversized Finn. Those contacts make my eyes SO ANIME:
I wish I'd gotten some when I DID change though. I decided to keep wearing the wig so I wouldn't have to shower and be extra late after the PTL panel, it looked pretty baller with my fancy dress.
I introduced my RL friends to SE++ people and it went fine. Your friends suck if they're not open to meeting cool new people. It's not like we're terrible antisocial nerds.

Past two years I've bought a ticket for Prime then changed my mind and sold it back. Having just had my job phased out, I think I'm gonna have to skip both those steps this year.

It's only an 8-screen movie theater, we don't really have departments. Long story short, I'd been working as a projectionist since 2000, and last week, they finished upgrading everything from 35mm film projectors to all-digital ones. These new projectors don't need to be set up in between every showing and even start themselves on time via computer schedule. So I'm going to end up cleaning auditoriums or doing minor maintenance work around the building at a significantly reduced schedule until I figure out what I can do that pays actual money. Basically the exact same work I was doing in 1997, except back then we were quite busy and these days we don't turn a profit even with just 2-3 staff on-site at a time.
