Swapnote: Friend Codes Go Here. Updated for August.

Does anyone know how to find the folder on the SD card where the swapnotes are stored? I'd like to delete the program and try reinstalling it, but I want to back up the notes I've received and sent, plus my stationary. HALP?

(I looked at the SD with my laptop and I cant make any sense of it)

He deleted the Crush3D demo and it futzed with his SD card something fierce. He proceeded to get everything back, thankfully, but in the process seemed to learn where a lot of different stuff is stored in the SD card. It's one one of the 3DS threads, I think. Somewhere around, in any case.

Yeah, I had to send my 3DS back to Nintendo because the screen got smashed

and then it came back with the other screen broken

So at the moment I am 3dless

Found it!

Swapnote: Nintendo 3DS\[hexcode ID]\[hexcode ID]\extdata\00000000\00000517\00000000\00000001 through whatever are your notes, so you should see:
extdata\00000000\00000517\00000000\00000001
extdata\00000000\00000517\00000000\00000002
extdata\00000000\00000517\00000000\00000003

Nintendo 3DS\[hexcode ID]\[hexcode ID]\title\00040000\00051700\data\00000001.sav is your save file

There may be some other things stored in there as well. I got back my Streetpass stuff when I copied this information over as well, so it may be that puzzle pieces and such are stored here too.

Nintendo doesn't make it easy to decipher where your stuff is.

Thanks for the messages from everyone about being happy my swapnote works again! I got all warm/fuzzy.

So I went into my settings turned off all the spotpass/streetpass, exited out of the application and then went back and flicked them all on. And it worked! It was weird because none of them were turned off, but flicking them off and then on seemed to do the trick. I should have tried that sooner I guess.

I'm glad I'm gonna be able to swapnote for PAX! WOO!

Everyone should also remember to set one Swapnote as your StreetPass note. Simply "send" any note you've made, but choose StreetPass instead of SpotPass. I'm not too sure if it only sends the note to people on your friend's list (probably), but it's still fun to do!
