Hey SoCal peeps

So last week Amy reminded me that I've got this $400 Delta Dollars voucher (for volunteering to be bumped from a flight) from last year and when I looked at it, I gotta use it before March 4 or it expires.

I took a glance around on the Delta website and it looks like I can get a round trip into the SoCal area for under 400 smackers and I was thinking of maybe making an impromptu weekend trip to visit some of you down there.

Who all is down there in what areas (Bogey tells me there are various pockets of people in various SoCal locales) and is there anyone who might be willing to help with transport to/from the airport and anyone who wouldn't mind hosting a couch surfer?

Nads, PI, Houk, BusterK and Bogey live in LA. I guess so do Neville, Swordfights and Tommy2hands and sarukun. Fiz, Bendery, fightinfilipino and JAEF live in San Diego.

I've probably forgotten a bunch of people but oh well.

Cool, man. SD is a cheaper flight anyway, in case it goes up before I actually get the ticket. Who all is in? Who can get me from the airport? Who has a couch?

I think if I am to do this, I'd go down Thursday Mar 1 in the evening after work, then fly back on Sunday whenever.

I leave for SF (for GDC) on March 3, so I can't do it if it is that weekend.
If it's on the 3rd or before, it depends on where. SD is unlikely since I'm doing overtime lately.
If it's LA, probably.
If it's Irvine area, definitely.

But you've seen me a ton, so may want to base this on folks you don't see much or haven't met before.

I'm leaning more toward SD because of ticket prices. I'll try to get it figured out in the next couple of days, though. To be frank, I think my highest priority for someone to meet that I haven't before is Lord Dave because he's been around nearly as long as I have been here and he's rad dude and who knows if he'll ever make it up here. LD, if I did San Diego do you think you could make the journey?

I live in Orange County right now so it's incredibly easy for me to get up to LA and not that much more difficult to get down to SD. As long as it's on a weekend, I'm pretty much down for whatever.
