huh. ok so this is old news at this point but I just read about that thing where in WoW that scroll what reactivates a friends account actually auto-levels one of their characters to 80.
I think this is actually a pretty big deal for WoW. A turning point if you will. I mean people have been telling me since forever that with wow the "game" (such as it is) starts at MAX_LEVEL (whatever that may be at the time). But as far as I am aware this is the first time they've actually gone as far as jumping someone right up to MAX_LEVEL (as opposed to xp boosts or whatever).
I have a feeling this is important. Not to the game but rather to the current MMO industry.

So at the end of the month, I'm back on furlough until I find another job or, after 100 days, I get picked up for another go at game testing.
Boring person that I am, I don't have much planned other than hanging out at the game store, riding bikes in the park, job hunting, and doing some career-oriented reading.
gonna get me a light shotgun and a sniper rifle and have it both ways
Sniper Rifle and Assault rifle. Because there is no such thing as too much gun. But my Sheppard is actually carrying a Mantis, a Valkyrie, and a Shuriken. The later costs me 1% recharge time with the various lightening mods applied to it. It's not a good gun, but it's effectively free, so hey.

okay, I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna play Mass Effect (the first one)...
i just can't pick a class, they all seem fun. space magic, space technology, guns, combination of both... Why is this so hard for me to pick?
Soldier is the most powerful, and best if you just want to run through the game as quickly as possible. Vanguard and Adept are probably tied for second, though. Pistols are pretty great, FYI. The worst weapon is probably the sniper rifle, but even it is pretty good. The worst class is probably Sentinel. But they're all pretty playable. If you do go Sentinel, make sure you pump barrier and put at least one point in Stasis.
