Got the Eagle in my pack last night. Ah well.. still no other good sniper other than Mantis X.
I did finally get a Revanant to try on my Turians. It is interesting with Marksman, but not enough to make me want to play soldiers. So I experimented with accurate, high rate of fire + adrenaline rush. So Geth Pulse Rifle. That was actually a lot more effective than I thought it would be. Added a Viper X into the mix and had a good time with a soldier for the first time. I don't know why folks come down on adrenaline rush so bad. The damage boost seemed pretty significant on silvers.
But other than that, having a blast leveling my salarian engy back up using the Paladin. DAMN that pistol does a crap ton of damage. I think my Predator X is technically better (and funner to use than I expected). And I'll probably switch back for golds, but man the constant headshot kills with the Paladin is fun.
I wouldn't have minded Chobot's inclusion if they hadn't already built up a decent reporter as a character and if Chobot was a better voice actress. I think it's a neat idea to have a reporter embedded on the ship - I just think they missed an opportunity in the execution.
I wonder if the real reason we didn't get Emily Wong back is because her VA was busy or something. I can't imagine somebody at Bioware saying "Let's ditch Wong, she can die on Twitter, and then we can replace her with somebody much more wooden."
I specced out my level 5 Turian Soldier for stability, started a solo match just to see how it fired, and even then I couldn't kill one geth trooper on bronze. Granted, I'm pretty bad at shooting (compared to engineer power spam), but still.
Maybe I'll try the cover thing for Bullet Laser (tm). I generally like staying mobile, though, especially since Turians don't roll.
I do love the sound the Hurricane makes. Gotta wonder if my opinion on its usefullness will change in 20 weeks when I have the Hurricane X. Because there's no way I'm going to get any other N7 gun with my luck. I haven't even gotten a rare character class other than the Drell Vanguard (which was at least just buffed in the patch).
Thankfully I also got the Disciple I in the Super Special Spectre Pack, which actually seems handy. Also the Claymore II, but I'm not sure when I would use that when I also have the Graal and multiple levels of the GPS. Using it for old time's sake on a Vanguard just doesn't seem like a good idea under the new rules.

Claymore on Drell Vanguard would probably work. You can get up to +100% cooldown from weight capacity now, so you could still get a decent cooldown with it.
the asari adepts i was playing with were all "ahh no get away pyro/hunter don't kill me noooo"
Hellz naw man, I backs up and let them funnel into a hall and and spam biotic explosions with a pyro as the center point. urrrvrahthing dies around it.

This only works if your pubbie allies don't advance into the obvious bottleneck tailor made deathtrap (I'm looking at you reactor).
"I'll take this side of the door you take th... wait, don't fucking go in!".
I'm no Napoleon, but judging from this game, the average human being possesses all the tactical sense of a lobotomised stick insect. Either that, or fighting while surrounded is just so much fun they can't resist!
I checked this morning but I hadn't received my packs yet (this morning being about 2 hours ago). Are the packs still rolling out, or do I need to send a notification somewhere?

They said they'd be out by Wednesday. Now, I don't know if that meant "by Tuesday evening, so if you don't have it by Wednesday something is wrong" or "if it's Thursday and you don't have it, it's a problem", but I'd lean towards the latter and wait until tomorrow before contacting their customer support.
They said they're rolling them out in waves. I would be annoyed now, but not concerned until Thursday morning if I didn't have one.
On the bright side it gives you more time to imagine you're going to open a Valiant.
Tease.

I got dropped from a game about 20 seconds in. Better it happens then than when I'm literally 5 seconds away from full extraction. That was frustrating.

Alternatively, how effective is the Arc Pistol against shields? Maybe it might suit a Drell adept to carry one to rip shields away from the people?
It looks good on paper, but falls a bit flat in game. It's also really heavy.
Two headshots with a Carnifex will strip the shields from most things (the things you can pull anyway).
I used it on my Human adept before I got the Asari. Pre place singularity -> shoot and let it grab them -> explode their face with warp. Works good on anything not armoured.

Yeah thats what I thought it would be - too good of an idea to be allowed in reality.
I lub my Carnifex. Just need to get even more of them to level it up past II.
Jennifer Hale has said that no one has contacted her about recording a new ending. That means that either there isn't one yet or the new ending is only for male Shepherds.
Also a big thanks to the host who disconnected from our game shortly before we completed wave 10 on gold.

Well my understanding of the (vague) comments they've made so far is that they are going to decide what to do specifically and announce it in April, not that they're going to release whatever fix they have in mind in April. Even assuming that they're going to do DLC (Which they haven't specifically said they'll do yet), it'll take more than a month to come up with something like that.

Got my packs. Aaaand the only worthwhile thing in it is the N7 Shotgun. Which, at level 1, isn't nearly as good as my Katana X.
Oh well, I only reset my two favorite classes to level 1 to get it...:(
Give it a chance, it can be highly useful if you've got good aim.
It takes a perfect blast from a Katana X (i.e. all pellets hitting the target) to match the oomph on the single slug the Crusader throws out. Not to mention said slug is instant travel (unlike the Graal) and is accurate from a scoped shot clear across the map. It also has built-in armor penetration like the Widow and Javelin (don't expect to shot through multiple walls like the Javelin, but you can pull off an Indy like shot and take out 2-3 guys if they're lined up and it tears through Guardian shields) and can burn Brutes really fast.
However it is one heavy bitch (only the Claymore is heavier), so if you use powers often it's a no-go. But a Krogan carrying that thing for any mooks outside melee range is amazing.

There's no point in using a sniper rifle with the Salarian Engineer. If you want to use a sniper rifle, just use the infiltrator. That way, you can cloak, then energy drain, then shoot, which gives you a huge boost to damage. Stick with pistols, I can't stand using the predator because you have to click too much and you can't be as accurate. The carnifex is probably overall better than the phalanx, but the higher weight will hurt for a while.
That said I still think that using a sniper for Salarian Winfiltrator is a waste. With proxy mine, energy drain, cloak with 2 powers and a pistol, you're extremely versatile. Sniping can be great, but there are lots of situations where you can get quickly get overwhelmed.
I for one do not think being a whirlwind of death is a "waste". Cloak + energy drain + max fitness already gives you all the escape and survivability you need.
Profile -> Signature Settings -> Hide signatures always. Then you don't have to read this worthless text anymore.

Yeah. They're probably still working on the Omega DLC. They'll switch gears to the ending stuff after that has been announced, and probably be able to explain exactly what they're doing with the ending maybe a week after that.

The price on the Advanced Training in the datapad app has been reduced. So no taking 8 months to get it now.
I'm still not entirely sure what...happened. I guess I stopped the reapers and banished Liara, Joker, and Garrus to a jungle love planet for a lifetime of menage-y bliss? *shrug* I really have no idea how my decisions influenced the ending and frankly don't much care. Also, I didn't even get to bone anyone in an awkward manner! I'm pretty over games that have 14 endings or parallel playthroughs that are sold as high content, decision-oriented games. Boring and artistically diluted.
THAT said...I'm not sure why people are so up in arms, either. I may just be a little too apathetic to the series as a whole to fairly understand.
Upside, gameplay was still a blast, length felt right, and MP is, so far, actually enjoyable to me (and I usually loathe MP, even co-op versions). I'd still definitely place all the MEs over the Dragon Ages for my last few years of Bioware feedbaggin'.

I kind of light the extended magazine one just because it prevents you from having to reload at inopportune times (also it's hilarious on the tempest)

I notice a theme here.
No she literally liked a psp as if it were a human penis while making porno face and posted it. Thats journalism baby!
I don't even understand why she's popular for licking a PSP. Maybe if she went balls deep on it, that'd be something, but licking? Who gives a shit.

use it with conc shot spam to close with enemies, then stick it in their faces and watch them die in 1 second, EVEN GETH HUNTERS WITH FULL SHIELDS
but then you see 2 geth pyros around the corner
WHAT DO?
get into cover, pop marksman, and burn those suckers down
the hurricane is not supposed to be used on targets more than 25 ft away, really
the asari adepts i was playing with were all "ahh no get away pyro/hunter don't kill me noooo"
and meanwhile i'm cleaning up with "fuck YOU, fuck YOU, conc shot, fuck YOU, conc shot conc shot OH HEY GETH PRIME marksman, cover, your shields are gone, fuck your armor too, 2000+ kill fuck YEAH"

It's basically an unfair advantage. I love it.

Again.
I swear, this game does not want me playing Silver.

Okay, WTF.
My premium spectre pack also had a krogan sentinel. My 15th krogan sentinel.
Soooooooo many goddamn hunters and rocket troopers.
