I like it a lot because it removes all of the heavy makeup and shadow-work, just completely deletes them and flattens everything else out

I hate banks. HSBC just transferred my account to First Niagara, even though the nearest First Niagara branch is 150 miles away. I don't have access to any of that money anymore. All the money I have access to until I get this straightened out is $30 in cash plus maybe another ten bucks in assorted coins. Goddammit.

I'm in the same boat! Santander is taking ten days to send me a new card, none of the money is available for four working days from Thursday.

Luckily I have 500 bucks in my US account. So I can pay five dollars everytime I take out ten pounds (sixteen dollars)! Which killed my Avengers plans : /

Not quite. It's the White Knight, which is the carrier for Spaceship One. The one above is actually outdated, the new one is a bizarre double plane.

I don't have a card because the account it was attached to no longer exists. I didn't even know they took my account got transferred until I bought dinner and my card was rejected. It should be an easy fix, but they can't do it until business hours Monday and there'll be a delay before my old debit card starts working again. I just hope it's a quick delay, because I'm out of groceries and also need to pay for my commute to work.

I love that photo and just found it in my mum's house recently.

It is me, aged 9, winning the village fete fancy dress competition in an entirely home-made costume.

It's all been downhill since then, frankly.

Just read about it on Wikipedia.

That premise would make one godawful Law and Order episode. May be a good book tho, as long as N.S. ded his research.

It goes off the rails of the basic plot summary pretty quickly, but it felt like a really well-researched book throughout (although granted I know little about the realities of the subject matter). His acknowledgments at the end were also encouraging in that respect.

It reminded me a lot of Zodiac and Cryptonomicon; I think I like his more "realistic" books better than his sci-fi.
