So um. I think I may be going to this, and convinced two local friends to do the same? We'll see how badge sales go but I think I'm jonesing for another PAX fix and it might be contageous?
Do come! You'll find it way more laid back than Prime, but I still went home exhausted (in a good way) after South 2015.
I'm cool with that! I only made it out to one day of Prime this year, so it'd be nice to grab passes for at least another day of the event. I'm sure forumer shenanigans and being touristy will help fill in the gaps again, anyhow, if I find the show to be a bit too slow.
South passes are/should be much easier to get than Prime passes, though I'm not sure how strictly that will apply to the 3-days this time around.
Looking at the post-prime damages, budgeting for PAX South is going to be tight this year, but I'm pretty sure I can swing it if I share a hotel instead of going solo.

Yeah, if I manage to grab tickets there's a fair chance I'll need to split a room too. My local friends are pretty set on doing East, but aren't sure they wanna do South.
We will also almost certainly be splitting a room, though I think we're going to try to stay at the Homewood so at least it's going to be a two room suite rather than a single small room

South badges sold slowly last year but I'd bet they go faster this year. Keep an eye out!

County Line is alright, Rudy's is alright

Texas Pride out past Judson is good but got super expensive after being featured on guy fieri's show
San Marcos has Hays County BBQ, a favorite. San Marcos BBQ is pretty good. Kent Black's BBQ is superior to Lockhart's Black's BBQ because they serve alcohol
But you ask me, Luling City Market beats all that
