Season 7 might be delayed past the usual April premiere as Winter arriving in the show means they need grey and dreary weather across more settings and need to wait further in the year to begin filming in some locations, according to the showrunners.

You hear that George? A few extra months to get the next book ouahh never mind
Showrunners had a reddit Q&A, the main points of which were bullet-pointed by someone on NeoGAF (spoilers, obviously).
- They regret not showing the Battle of the Green Fork in season 1. They ran out of money and couldn't do it
- They and GRRM have had disagreements. But GRRM understands why they make certain changes for the TV show format.
- Characters they miss after having killed them off: Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo, Jack Gleeson as Joffrey
- Battle of the Bastards was hard to film because of the time/money constraints. They didn't have the time for a battle like this in season 1. They praised Miguel Sapochnik for how he directed the episode. They especially liked the scene where Jon was being crushed under the bodies and trying to climb his way out.
- They confirm that there are only two seasons are left
- They don't have a definite episode count for the seasons, but they will be shorter than 10 episodes
- They know the ending already
- 90% of season 6 was material beyond ADWD, in their opinion
- They haven't thought of a prequel that in-depth due to their workload. But they understand that the world of asoiaf has a lot of possibilities for potential prequels. They haven't thought about the details of a prequel.
- He didn't want to say how GRRM felt about Jon's resurrection because it might spoil something from TWOW
- They learned of Hodor's name's origin from GRRM. They know more important information about the rest of the story for each of the characters. They acknowledge that GRRM is a "gardening" style of writer, but they as showrunners have to be "architects" due to the amount of pre-planning that has to go into creating a TV show
- If they needed to, they could write the final episode right now because they know exactly where the show is heading
- HBO has never interfered with any of the showrunners' decisions with deaths and plots in the show. They will not interfere with their plans for the show.
- Gendry is still rowing
- Season 7 will probably air later than the normal season starting time, because they need more winter-y environments and weather to film in for next season
Considering this is Game of Thrones, never showing up again is the happiest possible ending for a character

Like, they spent a significant amount of time with Tyrion getting ready for the siege, but then it was over in the course of a few hours?
I'm very into Jon Snow: Friend of the Wildlings, though
Brienne continues to be the best
I have a pet theory that A Man is actually Arya's awesome sword trainer from season 1 just disguised. I would almost bet money that Valar Moguhlius or whatever means "Not Today"
Robb and the nurse are a hella cute couple, fuck the Freys and their bridge
And the Daneyrius stuff turned out to be surprisingly boring? I'm into it as of S3E1, though

Barristan is back!
Oh you sweet summer child,
Fear is for season3
Boredom is for season 5
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
1. Like 75% of the Big Players are dead.
2. Winter has come.
3. Things are aiming firmly at "Epic confrontation".
My predictions for season 7 is that Arya murders everyone and Cersei gets mopped up.
Season 8 = Night's King zombie war and Targaryen incest.

I badly need the classic comic edit of Tycho screaming "MAGIIIIIIC!"
(I take no responsibility for this joke I saw it here years ago and have no idea who posted it because it's been way too long)
I love Brienne to DEATH
Arya, Spirit of Vengeance is rad too
And as much aa I love Tyrion, I agree with Bronn, that Wildfire shit is a mass scale arson waiting to happen
I fucking read the first book in 2000. Sixteen years to get that.
Oh shit, so is Knockturn Alley! God dammit!
I realized both of those things just now, holy shit
You hear that George? A few extra months to get the next book ouahh never mind
I had to look up the latter, because I don't recall if I've ever heard "Nocturnally" used by someone in a sentence before.
I'm reading this post nocturnally

seriously? I know we all joke about it but...
maybe there's hope for gendry after all
We saw his influence this season.

Okay, but have you considered
Today
you sweet summer child
She's like a goddamm Disney Princess, and in this world I can only assume that means she's actually Satan
Speaking of, they're really unsubtle with their characterizations
Like, Joffrey almost didn't know the word "charitable"? Give me some credit, GoT, by now I'm well aware he's a bad guy
Danny season two is super boring and I do not blame you for not liking it.
In my rewatch I'm up to season four. It's a lot nicer being able to skip every scene that Ramsey is in.
Satans..... hints.....
It definitely feels like more actual stuff happened in S3E1 with Dany than in the entirety of S2
It is known.
She gets a character arc there, and then following that, it's just rehashed
I mean, S3 did have...
Honestly, I'm not as big on the show as I was, but that was one of the times they absolutely fucking nailed it.
And then Dany gets to Yunkai, and whoops, look at all these fucks I have, none of them are for you.
a dream of season 8
Oh you sweet summer child,
She handled that exactly as I hoped she would! My roommates and I called her knowing Valyrian, but it was still so satisfying

3. Things are aiming firmly at "Epic confrontation".
