I'm playing Death Road to Canada and you can find gas in some toilets after you lift the seat

I wanted to ask in this thread if this was some sort of American thing I didn't understand (since it's the type of gas you use to propel your car to Canada) but now I'm sure it's just poopy humor

I'm only 32 so I'm not super old, but I'm still old.

I plan on being a grizzled old bastard, so it's not as big a deal for me.

Anyone older than 18 is old by anime years anyway, so I go with that.

Hey, by all means from what you've said it's going ok, going well even.

Part of me thinks she's already going to get beer and wings, so it's just a hey yeah we should hang out, and there's no romantic interest

The other part of me thinks it's wonderful that she suggested it

That girl's username is a breakfast food.

And she's singing a love song to her pantry.

From tangled, one of the most excellent Disney movies.

You are so right I have no idea what is wrong with my brain.

Edit: best part is I then spent like an hour after this singing Tangled songs, Now that I see You and Mother Knows Best.

Though I may be dipping my toe back into it, slowly, I concur. It's dumb and painful and a drug.

So my neighbor/"brother"/best friend told me that his fiance's sister just broke up with her long-term boyfriend. I waved him off and said "please don't" when he offered to set me up with her because it would "be weird" but... part of me thinks it would be cool. I stayed up until like 3am playing Donkey Kong Country with her, talking about being theatre kids and giggling at internet memes not too long ago so maybe I kinda do have a crush.

Seeing myself up for failure again. I never learn.

I would not even bother. Just keep being friends and maybe something might develop on it's own but don't bank on it.

Unless she is some kind of robot, there is no way anyone can leave a major relationship like that and then get back even into casual dating in such a short space of time.

Well from my point of view

This would be my take. I don't see anything necessarily wrong with Donkey Kong Country love, but right on the heels of a breakup is probably not the time.

    tumblr_mo4ljua7xk1su824mo1_500.gif

to tie this back to the earlier line of discussion about song associations i have VERY STRONG memories of watching my brother go through donkey kong country 2 on an emulator while playing anime OSTs in the background

chiefly, a live version of the revolutionary girl utena opening (the exact recording i have no idea how to track down, cos it was like late 90s/early 00s, but here's one from the same era)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oBTk1k_BQg

yes i agree, i had an extremely excellent childhood

BirdBoy told me today that he likes me. I responded that I knew and that I liked him too.
He went bright red and stuttered a "t-t-thank you, t-that's great... um... yeah."

Did you go in for the hug while wearing a backpack slung over your shoulder, thereby knocking your date's mason jar of milk tea into her lap, then onto the floor, shattering it and startling all the customers in the restaurant such that it was deathly silent for upwards of ten uninterrupted seconds today, too?

My date was lovely about the whole thing, but boy, was my face red.

    I think we're all fine

Obviously stuff is bad in London but it seems to have been over quickly and relatively isolated

My sister was okay and that's good, I was a little worried as she works very near Westminster.

Heart goes out to the families of the victims, it really does

some people have died and a lot of injuries, but as these incidents go it's fairly localized.
