Since we are about a month away from the new movie / new book, seemed like it was time for a new thread.

    I hope it ends well. I want to know what happens more than I want any particular thing to happen.

    I enjoy the series. I've been reading through them over the past few months. I think i've been through them all five times now.

    I thought we already knew who R.A.B. was. It's Sirius' brother.

    Sirius' brother is named Regulus Black. And according to page 112 of Order of the Phoenix, "I doubt Regulus was ever important enough to be killed by Voldemort in person. From what I found out after he died, he got in so far, then panicked about what he was being asked to do and tried to back out."

    Seems obvious to me.

    Also, I have a theory about something that I think is supported by the full cover art.

    Is it just me or does it appear in that picture that Harry and Voldemort are on the same side fighting a common enemy? My guess is that Harry and Voldemort team up to defeat Snape. And if that isn't the case, the cover art at the very least suggests that Harry and Voldemort (or a horcrux Voldemort?) team up to defeat some common enemy.

    One of the problems with movies is that often a character will be played by someone who is far too attractive for the role. See Bellatrix, Luna.

    They nailed Nevile, though.

    Luna actually strikes me as pretty dead on, especially in YouTube clips I've seen of her speaking parts. She has the whole airy/dreamy thing down.

    I'm ok with Bellatrix being more attractive than her character in the books was (Post-azkaban at least), just because it strikes me as a really good casting.

    We'll see how it plays out in the movies. I don't think the casting is terrible for either part...Luna just surprised me.

    For all I know,
    Trevor is some kind of wizarding Prince, contrary to there being no wizarding princes...except for Snape...who wasn't really a prince...even though his mother was...by way of her maiden name

    The sixth book's events are still a little hard for me to grasp. I'll have to read it again before the seventh.

    And tell me that $34.99 is MSRP; because there's no way I'm paying that. Half-Blood Prince cost me $17.99 when it came out.

    I read it somewhere, but can't for the life of me remember where. It may have been just some speculation
    I believe that the room that contained the veil was called the Chamber of Death or something similar, and the presence of the voices would seem to indicate it's some sort of phantom zone where the criminals are trapped but cannot get out of.

    Some asshole on my livejournal friends list posted the spoiler in question scanned, blown up and circled without so much as a spoiler warning when I was about 100 pages from it happening.

    Ditto, I just don't want to have the last book in the series I've been reading for 10 years to be spoiled for me in some kind of horrible, disguised YTMND link (although some of those Snape YTMNDs were fairly hilarious)
