hating chell, a character with practically 0 story and 0 personality, is ridiculous
and assuming she's a throwaway character is just as bad. Valve will make a follow-up to Portal, given it's success they'd be stupid not to. Whether it's Portal 2 or another title, it'll happen.

Once you get it down, the fewest steps ones are really easy. You can get out of the elevator in 2 steps by running and jumping and then use portals to get practically everywhere without taking any steps at all
I don't think I'd like the Portal gun in Half-Life games. It'd change the gameplay way too much.
I mean, come on.. Portal is a game with one gun and one gimmick, and look how thought-provoking it is. Adding that in with one of the greatest video game series of all time would make it too complex. "Do I use the Portal Gun or the Gravity Gun for this puzzle? Do I go into a portal, and shoot this barrel with the Gravity Gun from it?" It would be ridiculous.

Exactly what am I doing wrong that is leading me to get "Not available at this time" errors on every fucking game I try to play?
Clearly it's my video card, right? That's what's causing Steam to behave in a manner almost as though it were a total piece of shit, right?
But man, I just don't know how I could live without the convenience of an extra application that has to run properly before I'm allowed to play my games.

I got it re-re-re-reinstalled and had it downloading Portal and Episode 2 again, it was going for a few minutes, and then it just closed.
