Fuck yes, and then follow that with Requiem

    I wouldn't do Requiem, that's more of a Portal-esque puzzle game..

Requiem is just an expansion to Black Plague. It's still pretty cool though, just not scary and there's barely any story.

Seeing Black Plague would be pretty sweet, as I haven't played it, and don't see myself buying it any time soon(if at all, not enough apparent replay value for me).

I couldn't breathe for laughing at the last set. The snippets you inserted? Genius.

Yes, play Black Plague, it's a perfect companion to the first. Even if you don't LP it you should still see the story conclude. Requiem as people have stated is more of a Portal-esque series of self contained puzzle rooms.

So, I just finished Requiem. In sum:
You solve a lot of puzzles and hear thoughts from a few other people that popped up in Overture and Black Plague. Nothing happens, except Phillip
apparently dies in his own mind or something just after sending the message.

    Cue disappointment :x

Supposedly there's some alternate ending if you nail all the collectables, anybody else know if it's worth the effort/if it even exists?

Requiem is non-canon, or at least wasn't meant to be part of the original storyline.

They were supposed to make 3 episodes, but after some problems with the publisher of Overture they condensed 2 and 3 into Black Plague. As far as I understand it, Requiem is mostly the puzzles they had to cut out plus some more.

    Gah, that figures.

It's a shame, too. The writing and acting in Black Plague were actually pretty good, and it had one of the more memorable 'bad guys' I've seen in a while. Hell, even the stuff in Requiem isn't bad, there's just not much of it. Oh well.

I've watched FEAR, Dead Space and now this and I am constantly surprised by your ability to say the absolute wrong thing at the right time. I would actually be scared to know you in real life, for fear that you'd say something and then the car would explode or something.

    Still, amazingly entertaining. Good work.

I'm enjoying your LP as always Hell, but I don't understand how this game is scary at all compared to something like Dead Space. Maybe it's all in the sound? Even so, I haven't had any jumps - even the worm gave you warning.

I am only through set 6, so maybe it gets scarier? Anyway, not knocking your style, just wondering. :)

With my British yapping you dont miss a hell of a lot of the tense atmosphere. It's all in that rather than the 'BOOS! zomg shit your pants now please' stuff. It's worth picking it up and trying to see for yourself. The Dogs tend to be scarier when you dont beat the shit out of them and you try and stealth it past them. Rather than my LOOK DOGGY *BLAM*.

Having just finished Overture and started Black Plague I think the episodic nature really hurts the first one. It really is just a beginning, seemingly intended to slowly immerse you into the gameworld and atmosphere but it just isn't scary on its own. However, it serves its purpose and Black Plague is pretty fucked up right from the start and I can only expect it to get even more nuts as it proceeds. That said, I'm enjoying the LP of Overture a lot, especially since I was always just a little ahead of Helloween and it was funny to see how he handled situations I'd just been through myself. Really looking forward to the last set of videos and hope he continues with Black Plague. :^:
