Saturday Morning Watchmen (Spoilers)

Has anyone made a new Watchmen thread yet? Because fuck if I'm going to have to roll out this shit again.

Watchmen is a 1985 comic book centered around the exploits of a decent number of costumed avengers during the Cold War era. It was a huge marketing success and later branched off into a wide variety of mediums, including:
Tomorrow the franchise will dominate all corners of the market with the release of "The Watchmen: The Movie".

NOTABLE REVIEWS
The film is rich enough to be seen more than once. I plan to see it again, this time on IMAX, and will have more to say about it. I’m not sure I understood all the nuances and implications, but I am sure I had a powerful experience. It’s not as entertaining as “The Dark Knight,” but like the “Matrix” films, LOTR and “The Dark Knight,” it’s going to inspire fevered analysis. I don’t want to see it twice for that reason, however, but mostly just to have the experience again.
Against considerable odds, Snyder has directed a movie that should satisfy fanboys while engaging adventurous newcomers.
Snyder has appropriated Moore's doomsday themes without any sense of how to animate them. That's the trouble with loyalty. Too little, and you alienate your core fans. Too much, and you lose everyone -- and everything -- else.

We've all discussed the crap out of this to the point where nothing more can really be said until we all see it tomorrow, so I don't believe there is a need for going into much depth about it.

So until midnight tonight, enjoy discussing how rude Silk Specter's boobies will be and maybe post that dog comic another 23 times.

Why does he even bother to make love with Laurie Jupiter? Not for his own pleasure, I'm convinced. And not to father a Little Manhattan, either, because as I understand his body he would ejaculate only energy.

In the canon of comic-book movies, it's not as campy bad as the Batman starring George Clooney, but nowhere near the caliber of the Spider-Man movies or The Dark Knight. It may have more style, but it's only a jot more entertaining than Catwoman.
