    I really really wish icy-hot could fix the fracture in my shin because I've spent the last three months with this pain and I'm not going to stop running because I am a stubborn idiot.

    aaand sleeping pill is just starting to kick in I'll likely be up by 7 even though I would be able to keep on sleeping, but as has been proven time and again the dogs need way less sleep than I and they will do whatever they feel necessary to wake me

    Man, even if you don't want to go to the doctor, Icy-Hot is pretty awful treatment for that.

    Can you buy cheap (~$10-20) phones in the US and then load them with pre-paid credit, like in the UK?

    Because I don't really want to take my iPhone with me...

    Every grocery store will have TracPhones, which will be pretty cheap and come with some minutes. Electronics stores (i.e., Best Buy and the like) will have more selection, but they'd probably be overkill.

    And both of those weekends were/are Labor Day weekend (in the US). It just happened the first Monday in September fell "late" this year.
