I am still chewing on the last bite of advice I took. I haven't been able to draw lately because of the sudden violent upheaval with my housing situation, but I should have more things to look at up soon.

This is awesome Prox. The people of canadia applaud you.....at least I assume they do.
That's a neat hammer. My only problem with it is I feel like it would snap in half if someone was holding it from the handle. Is it possible for you to make the handle a little sturdier, or at least longer to balance out the obvious weight of the hammer?
Also perhaps the "lava cracks" (for lack of a better term) on the hammer shouldn't be so symmetrical. Is the hammer made from lava, or made to look like lava? If it were from lava i don't think it would be the same on all sides.
Thanks for the comment Crowlestone. The symmetrical design is due to optimizing texture space and time. If it were asymmetrical it would take twice as long to make. I want to make the lava cracks as runic as possible, to show that there was some sort of magic, or artificial element introduced. I didnt think it would be that distracting. I wonder if it would have been better to flip horizontal then vertical.
It doesn't really read like an axe just by it's shape, it looks very abstract. And I'd expect there to be some hot whites with y'know, lava. But I really like the how you worked the runic designs into it while still keeping it looking very lava cracky.
I MEANT HAMMER. I SWEAR. But it still don't look like one. Especially cause like, with those spikes on it, it functions like a mace. Or an axe. You couldn't really hammer things with it. Honestly, I'd take atleast half of the spikes off of it, force yourself to think what you really need to make a really strong, recognizable sillihoute. Something that without even seeing the pretty lava and shit people go OH GOD THAT LOOKS BADASS I WANNA HIT THINGS WITH IT, or they recognize an enemy carrying it from a distance and go FFFFFFFFFUUUU
The sulfuras seems like it needs a bigger counterweight on the bottom of the handle.
I also think that maybe some kind of value shift along the length of the weapon would help make it seem less busy and maybe more of a sense of luminosity.
Blizzard also nowadays does some subtle lighting treatment on their weapon textures to sort of "fake" bump mapping by painting in a light source coming from above if the weapon were to be held out like it's in a player's hands--Something to think about.

wat kind of sword dog can we be expecting next
Very nice, are you french? Just a nitpick since the french sentence doesn't really make sense gramatically and whatnot but great nonetheless.
"La force de nos ouvriers assure la victoire." Or maybe "La force des ouvriers assure la victoire" Depending on what you meant to say...
First one would be Our workers strength assures victory while the second is: The workers strentgh assures victory...

I think it's great that the sentence is grammatically incorrect.

I agree on the handle and am going to thicken it.

edit: i will use that excuse on the fact that you'd burn your hands on the handle because of all the lava on there.
