I haven't seen a sign of this being put up here so I thought I'd give it a shot. Apologies in advance though if I missed an already created thread based on this. While I myself don't have a X-Box or Halo, it hasn't stopped me from enjoying the machinima known as Red Vs Blue. The series brought laughter to both gamers and non-gamers alike and probably done it's fair share in boosting sales for both Bungie and Microsoft. However, that apparentlly is about to come to an end. On this Sunday, April 1st, Rooster Teeth leader Burnie Burns drew attention on the front page to a post he placed up on the Rooster Teeth forums.
April 1st is a special day for us here at RoosterTeeth, as it marks the anniversary of the first Red vs Blue episode we ever posted, way back in 2003. We always want to pause on occasions such as this to thank all of you for supporting RvB over the years. We try to say it as often as we can; the people of this community do so much for us by keeping us inspired and motivated to create every day. And the sponsors especially deserve our gratitude by supporting us in (if I may borrow a phrase) "a rent and food" kind of way. It's hard to believe that today marks four years of producing the series and with this week's release, we are 6 episodes from Episode 100. It seems like just yesterday that we started working on what we thought was going to be a mini-series that was intended to run six episodes in total.
Producing RvB and getting to know the people who watch it have been two of the greatest joys of my life. That's why we wanted to let you all know first that Episode 100 is going to be the last installment of The Blood Gulch Chronicles. One hundred is a great number, and it seems like the perfect place to call it a show. I am sure you have some questions about our plans for the series and beyond. We will be talking about all of that in the weeks and months to come, but I want to use this time to thank all of you for nearly half a decade of support. For now, it's back to work. From the recent developments in the storyline, you may have noticed some loose ends coming together and we have a lot to wrap up in the last seven videos. We hope you will love them as much as the first seven or the middle seven or whatever it was that initially drew you to the world of Red vs Blue.
Thanks to the date this was brought up on, there's been a lot of skepticism over if it's true. However, it's been more then three days and all that's been mentioned on the RT website is simply another notice to the news-post rather then a retraction like sites who pulled April Fool gags have done. If this IS true, then we've defantally lost one of the better offerings on the Internet.
then they just seemed to be trying to make more complicated stories and try to do stuff with the engine, while I preferred the simplicity of the early episodes
before that though, it was brilliant

I stopped watching at the same point, though I stopped actually enjoying it when they removed that rogue AI from Caboose. Doc couldn't pull it off. At all.

I actually liked what Doc did with the whole O'Malley thing.
I still watch RvB. And by still watch I mean wait for the DVDs to come out. I will be sad if they decide to end it.
Hope you don't mind me bringing this thread up from the depths but Rooster Teeth has released today the final epsiode of RvB: The Blood Gultch Chronicles.
ending and I liked it enough. Then I heard there were more endings (I thought having three different links was weird).
The
Starting over, why are we here
ending was pretty cool, and it sort of bummed me out. It ended on a good note but it was kind of sad.
Then there was the
Same teams, different map
ending which was just out there. I couldn't follow that at all but I still enjoyed all of them.
I used to watch all of them up until season 3 and then I started to just pop in and out every now and then so I was a bit lost with some aspects. Especially since I saw episode 99. Though overall I am sad to see the series end.

Same here, though on the third ending;
They said new map, and RT said it was the end of the Blood Gulch Chronicles. So there's a possibility for another Red vs. Blue series for Halo 3 woo!

I loved that site. I used to visit it daily and it had my forum of choice as well.
The first 40-something episodes are really worth watching, if only for Caboose. Go. Do it. I'll kill you.

I wasn't really partial to the whole AI and Tex stuff on the whole
Caboose, Tucker, and Donut were always good for a laugh though

Season four was pretty damn hilarious though. Season five is going good, but I don't think it's as good as the earlier seasons.
I'm looking forward to the signed DVD my friend is getting me.
