~~~Characters~~~
ROMANCE FAQ (plot spoilers here):
Who can I romance?
Male Shepard can romance Tali, Kelly, Miranda, Jack
Female Shep can romance Jacob, Garrus, Kelly, Thane
There is also Morinth, but there's no reason to bang a chick who's just going to kill you. Right, fellas?
When do we get to banging it?
All romances end prior to the start of the suicide mission. Except for Kelly. She won't bed you unless you have beaten the suicide mission, saved the entire crew, and not romanced another character.
ENDGAME FAQ (Because you will have questions):
Do the Normandy Upgrades actually help?
Yes! If you don't upgrade your ship, you will lose: Grunt, Jack, Tali, Legion, and Thane. Immediately, prior to landing on the collector base.
Does loyalty matter?
It is the singlemost important aspect to determining the survival of a party member. It's a given that any low loyalty members will die at some point and/or cause others to die.
WHY DO MY MEN KEEP DYING!?!?!
Using the following, I was able to complete the mission without trouble:
1st choice: Miranda (or Garrus) leads the group, Legion (or Tali) is the technician.
2nd choice: Grunt leads the crew to the ship, Miranda (or Garrus) leads the secondary group, the Asari or Jack provides the biotics (NOTE: I am pretty sure that the biotic user will die here if you take too long to get through)
3rd choice: Mordin died if I didn't bring him along on the final assault. While it may be possible that this is necessary, what is more likely is that taking too long on the final boss will cause you to lose a teammate.
PLEASE NOTE: Sometimes the person that gets killed is not the person who did their job poorly. I lost Legion and Tali during my first two attempts because the persons leading the secondary team were not competent enough (the Merc and Thane)
SUPER SPECIAL BONUS LINKS!!!
MASS EFFECT 1 SAVE FILES
Pissed off that Bioware won't let you choose how to make a new shepard? Want to get the benefits of an imported Shep but want to save the council? Check out: http://www.annakie.com/me/home.htm
They have compiled a lot of ME1 save files, so you can download and import them over. This is very useful for anyone who has burned their ME1 files to the ground and salted them.
MASS EFFECT 2 FACE CODES
Did you know you can input a code at the bottom of the character customization screen and it will make a face? This is how you can share your horrendous (or beautiful) Shep with the world! A collection of such codes is found here:
http://www.masseffect2faces.com/
For example, the code for Munkus' Female Shepard face is: 743.W9G.1M7.F8A.JDQ.62Q.1DA.711.966.413.2G6.276
http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_Effect_Wiki
It's got lore, answers and pictures! Neat!
Credit to Munkus for the OP, that reaper picture was stupid though.
    Now to do Samara's loyalty mission then all I have left is Tali's and the whole
    Reaper IFF
    mission.
    I'm not sure if I should wait until the latter then do Tali's loyalty mission though.
    From what I've read (re: safety of the latter)
    it's safe to do so as long as after the IFF mission you do Tali's then Legion's then immediately proceed to the endgame
    I can verify this
    so long as you do the reaper IFF and then proceed IMMEDIATELY to Tali's loyalty quest and then IMMEDIATELY to Legion's loyalty quest
    first time accessing the galaxy map after finishing Legion's quest, the endgame begins
    End game spoiler:
    there is three good choices for everything, except leading the crew back, Loyalty matters most there.
    not sure what they all are, but there should be at least 3 for everything else.
    I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
    My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
    And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
    It was neat helping him out and all, but sorry, Grunt doesn't compare to Wrex.
    Though without Grunt's loyalty mission I wouldn't have been able to headbutt a krogan.
    You get only a second or two to make a shot out of cover, and many enemies will regenerate their health faster than you can whittle it down.
    Also, since enemies become a lot tougher to kill, ammo becomes an important factor to watch.
    The ability to stop regeneration and one shot many enemies with a slow-motion-headshot is thus invaluable.
    Also going invisible lets you retreat and further allows you to save ammo with boosted damage headshots.
