If you kill this adorable creature, Preacher I swear to God...
They steal items from you steve, and even then no I can't do it. There is one in the town you start out trying to catch flies, I swear to god cutest thing I've seen in a video game.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
God, moving 21000 small files takes a ridiculous amount of time. Were this a single ISO image or something, it would take maybe 8 minutes at 100mbps. But because it's a ton of tiny files, it's going slow as hell.
...
I'm thinking it would be quicker to tar them locally or something.
Most definitely.
The problem is Teracopy seems like it should be able to handle this reasonably well, so I don't quite understand what's going on - its intelligently reading a whole bunch at a time, but it still tanks to 603kb/s.
I wonder if this is a problem with GlusterFS on my server.
What network protocol?

He's better than the last few govs we've had, but only because our govs have been so bad
I don't like the guy and think he's pretty much a lightweight
BUT i think that a lot of his problem is the dysfunctional governmental structure of california, the referenda requirements, and the poisonous degree of political and cultural polarization in your state. California is kind of a caricature of the problems the rest of the country faces.

Nah, dude.
The tar will break your computer.
I recently had to explain to one of our marketing people what a tarball was. That discussion took far longer then it should have.

Yep. Exactly. I could add a few more items to that list of problems, too.

i didn't think she was mean to me. but maybe i was oblivious or she just saved it for hushed whispers to you.
maybe she was behaving
i probably have some confirmation bias in terms of remembering more keenly the times when she acts like a child and forgetting the times when she shows courtesy and restraint.

So separating the man from the politics he has to wrestle with, how do you think he would fare in a less crazy state?

I think I'd prefer President Commando Schwarznegger to President Terminator Arnie. Because in Commando, he literally kills an entire army by himself. In Terminator, he can't even handle a soccer mom and her boyfriend.

Man it STILL sucks that the governor's race here in CA is basically the two Republicans calling each other liberals because so far Jerry Brown isn't seen as a serious threat.

I'm going to get 100 signatures so we can vote about whether you can say that.

"You know what a zipped file is?"
"... yeah"
"It's like that"
I've found that the greatest form of compression outside of WPEG is zipping a file and then zipping that zipped file, repeating until you break it down to one byte.

Jerry Brown must be like eighty now.
Doesn't California have a candidate who isn't a disgraced hippie that they could put up?
I mean Gavin Newsom would probably be a better candidate than Jerry Brown.

what platform is it for anyways? isn't it on like the ds?
The 4G really needs to get released. I want to give you my money, Apple!
They are out of his hands.
But the circumstances of his being elected governor were just as WTFcrazy as all other politics in California.
The midterm recall election that ousted Grey Davis was a fucking circus. There are so many layers of crazy to it.
