Anyway, would it really be possible for me to take 3 languages next semester (Latin, German, and Old English)? I'm thinking I should leave the Old English until I get past exit level Latin.

why wouldn't you make all your schools as good as they can possibly be and make it easier for lower income people to get into good colleges
everyone in the country benefits from a smarter populace
same with healthcare
everyone benefits from a healthier populace as well
but too many people associate the word "benefits" with the word "money"
and that is a shame
I agree with this completely, but I think we should keep the private university system in place and attempt to expand public options as far as possible without compromising too much on the quality of the really top-end ones, because the system we used produced a lot of really top fucking notch research universities and top-notch graduate programs in a way that the many other systems hasn't.
