It happened to the 1c pack as well ($20 up to $80, I believe)... so, this might be Steam's way of telling us "Do not wait until the last day".
Actually, when the front page says "All Atari Games 66% off until July 4," and The Witcher is a) part of the subset of "all Atari games" and b) explicitly listed having that discount, it's false advertising.
Yeah. Also my closed-ass wallet is my way of telling them "don't do that, jackasses."
Exactly. They have to be doing this on purpose. Filter it by Atari games and it's all 66% off down the row with a 33% out of nowhere before returning to 66%'s. Jackasses.

the only thing i've bought so far is Warband. i have a lot of these other games from the last Steam sale.
Was thinking of picking up Warband as well, but I'm hoping it'll show up at a better price during this sale. The way I see it, the price is just right if you don't already own the original, but it's still a tad expensive if you do.

Warband is just multiplayer and spruced-up graphics, right?
Since I'm not interested in the multiplayer (tried it during the beta, it's not for me) I'm wondering if they tweak the single-player game enough to make it worth the cash.

Yeah, it sucks. I'm hoping it's not a money grab on the publisher's part, because it just sucks.
And now, just because of that, if The Witcher isn't discounter MORE than 66% I won't be getting it.
What sucks is that the pricing shenanigans with The Witcher are turning people off to buying a really awesome game and supporting a truly awesome developer.
Here's hoping it goes on truly uber-sale at least once.
Um... If you people intended on buying the game, and you knew the deal was currently there, why didn't you just buy it then?

I would like to pause for a moment, to talk about my penis.
My penis is like a toddler. A toddler—who is a perfectly normal size for his age—on a long road trip to what he thinks is Disney World. My penis is excited because he hasn’t been to Disney World in a long, long time, but remembers a time when he used to go every day. So now the penis toddler is constantly fidgeting, whining “Are we there yet? Are we there yet? How about now? Now? How about... now?”
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
I see. Once again, stupid greed and lazyness beat consideration and patience!

Let's go Red Faction: Guerrilla. 75% off! It's just the only non-indie game I can think of that I gotta have. I'm sure others will make themselves known in a few minutes
edit: I also want that magic:TG game but it was like just ported over wasn't it?

I think so, yes. I would also be getting it for SP only, but if it drops to <= 10€, I'll most likely grab a copy just to be ready for any future mods (and having a better looking game out of the box).
if i play killing floor for too long - i'd say an hour or so - i get headaches from the colour choices and aesthetic. it's not that it's bad, it just hurts my eyes for some reason. i feel vaguely nauseated as well.

I'm sure someone from Valve are on this forum and checking the Steam thread then seems like an obvious thing to do.

Witcher better be 99% off to make up for the trickery.

Steam sales have all but the least attentive customers trained to wait for the very last day to buy anything that's not part of a one-day uber-sale.
"Just updated. Save 30% until August 12"
So they reduced the savings but extended the sale period! What a great update!
And Disney World is nowhere in sight.
That's just a waste of psychic powers right there.
You were warned
Hoping for FEAR or some Jedi Knight goodness, but there is so much else I'd be thrilled with, most of which I'm sure I'm blissfully unaware of.

Tell me who sells you these chunks of misplaced time. There are a few decisions of mine I would like to change.
Oh. There is only 4 minutes until the new deals. Please don't steal more of my money Steam
COME ON!
I bought it three times and do not regret it. I wont stop mentioning it.
