I have a hard enough time plumbing the enormous depths of some of these caves where I have 3 passages to go down and all 3 are huge and dark.

It took me awhile to map out a cave system and put torches everywhere. I was tense the entire time I did it and only when I was finished did I relax. It kept twisting in different directions! Anything could have come up there! I ended up fighting like three creepers at the same time and then zombies came!
I foresee a future where people can design “challenge maps” in creative or survival mode, then share them with people so that they can try to beat them in Adventure mode. Being able to create interesting puzzles or trigger events requires some more advanced programming than the sand and water based stuff we’ve seen so far, yet still I don’t want to introduce real programming into the world.
I think the Redstone Dust (which is, and always has been[*] the official name for the red stuff) fits fairly well with the pseudo fantasy theme of Minecraft, and it will certainly have more uses in the future, mainly for alchemy and possibly other forms of magic.
Also, I’m a huge cellular automata nerd.

oh my god I'm at the very bottom of the map(I just saw some adminium a few seconds ago)theres like this low pitched moaning and heavy breathing and it wont go away I'm so scared

I dug my way out and marked the hole with a torch and went back to my base of operations
it's cool though, a couple waterfalls pour into the hole
if you go back make sure to take a couple buckets with you in case theres any lava
also, have a workbench and forge ready in case shits enormous and you run out of picks or somethin

if I turned off ALL sound how would I hear that creeper behind me?
its called the peaceful difficulty
also, I found out what causes the sounds!
moans are zombies
hisses are spiders
not sure what sounds skeletons or creepers make(they probably hiss)
and WHERE THE FUCK IS ALL THE CRYSTAL THIS IS SOME BULLSHIT
