Yeah khaval who gave me the build just said 13 without really explaining why. Maybe 14 pool comes out too late on maps like steppes of war or something.
Well the good thing about the 5rr is if they're rushing voidrays or something you just auto win with your first push.
Also watching these replays it's just amazing how much stuff the 5rr gives you, in addition to setting you up with a good economy and a free expansion when you push.
Edit: the only change I would make on yours is only droning up to 15 until your OL finishes, that way you can get a ling right away to drive out any scout a little sooner.
I've also started throwing out a second queen pretty early and am liking that quite a bit against any early air. That and being able to spread the creep a good deal before my expansion needs a queen there is pretty nice.

Hmm that's not a bad idea. I may have to play around with that some tonight.
I have a new computer with a much better videocard now, and only about 5 hours until the download is finished. I can start playing this again sometime soonish.

I wish you'd have attacked earlier but it worked out. It just seemed like you were both sandbagging units. I can't imagine a protoss just not getting zealots vs. a zerg.

The 5 roaches should pretty much rally to his base and any lings should follow.

I've gotten 6 pooled too many times to the point that now, if I play zerg, I just wall off and put a zlot on blocking duty with a few photon cannons. While this is happening, I have a probe close by with a proxy for later when I get gates down. 4 gates so soon in ZvP is not a great idea as you should be pumping a few lots, then Stalkers on 2 at the very maximum.
Considering most zergs 6 pool by the time they try to bust my defenses in my main, they have 6 lots in their mineral lines from 2 semi-late proxy gateways.
