    I've always thought of art as being a dream-gig sort of thing. I've always known it is a difficult way to make a living.

    If you're expecting to be paid rock-star salaries and live entirely off of your artwork, yes it's a difficult career. But having it as a side-show to your dayjob in some sort of outlet isn't insurmountable in any way; you just have to want to do it.

    I think it might be fun to, for a few years, sort of be a career vagabond. Freelance let and right across the country and get into all sorts of misadventures, have some really crazy jobs and eat new things and meet new people, and drift back home for Christmas, and have the elders look at me suspiciously and tell the young'uns I'm a bad influence, but then I teach them all sorts of neat life lessons in all sorts of crazy ways.

    Just gonna say Austin is possibly the best city in Texas with a great night life and just a cool place to be.

    Hopefully I'll be accepted to UT there and become a famous filmmaker but who knows. Most likely I'll just be stuck at community college and with a screen play "being written" while working at minimum wage jobs forever. But gonna at least try to live the dream. 8-)

    Explain to them in a reasonable manner that if they're going to get on your case about going to a college, that you should be able to go to whichever college you want to/get accepted to.

    Powerpoint is the worst.

    My hatred for powerpoint is probably pretty irrational at this point, but I just hated having to deal with it in any way.

    I think the rule of thumb is no more than 7 lines per slide. At least, that's what my intro CS class says.
