Every senior that's taken AP English 3 says the essays are hard as shit dried out in the sun for 3 years.
Got our first essay assignment Friday.

How many pages?
It's a 2-3 page paper, but the writing thereof isn't the hard part of it all. It's the fact that the teacher grades said essays to the hardest extent possible.
Considering people are still unable to write coherent essays in college, "hard grader" in this context probably means "expects something halfway non-retarded".
I've got a paper due soon, but it's a creative-writing type for my history class, so I'm actually excited. The topic is sensitive though, hope I don't blow it.

Man I'm so pumped for my Astronomy Course. Labs are in a planetarium or out at an observatory and the prof studies Magnetaurs as her main field! So awesome!

You can make an account, enter your SAT/ACT scores, HS classes, GPA, etc and search for colleges and it can match you up with their averages. Super awesome. Also, it has a comprehensive list of different majors and descriptions and jobs for them. Really helped me in my college search.

I had one or two short assignments that weren't, but otherwise yeah.
Three or four times I really hit strides with history papers and actually had to do 1.5 to fit into the maximum page limit.

and only six days to write it!

there's no point in going to a school where they're no good at teaching what you want to learn
and you should pick a school by the available majors (or the available self-defined major) even if you're not sure what you want to do
(whatever you think you're going to major in, you're probably wrong)
