I've never been a fan of the GoW games, I played the first one, and thats about as much as I needed to do.
Yeah, I've rented both and buzzed through single-player co-op. It was fun enough but I have no real recollection of either game other than grunting, ducking behind cover, and chainsaw bayonets.

Yeah Rivs from what you described AA might be the best choice. There is exploration. Secrets to find. Combat gets really fun. The stealth sections are a nice break.

Yeah. Kinda like Halo. Play through Gears 1 and 2 Co Op and it's pretty good. Single player kinda forces you to pay attention to the story in both. In the case of Gears 2 I'd rather slap my dick in a drawer than sit through the Dom>Wife scene again.

How much could a couple hours of gaming even do? Hell, I rarely even do that anymore.

2 gigs a day is way more than any game is going to do. Hell more than 90% of browsing+gaming will do. Really only downloading something would hit that point.
