I think they stopped counting all the elites that appear immediately after safe checkpoints.
Yeah, that's my thinking. I've had some success with the infinite spawn in Long Night, but it's slow as hell.
If anyone wants to do a quick Winter Contingency run for the weekly, let me know.
Protip: Steal the Wraith on the platform, position yourself so you have a clear shot at the drop-off point (the water is just a soft kill-zone), then pop the turret on the Spirit as it comes down and murder the infantry as soon as they hit the ground, rinse and repeat.
It's a hell of a lot easier than ARing them all, that's for sure.
EDIT: Got it in about fifteen minutes, along with Blastin' And Relaxin'.
I fail to see how that would be significantly quicker, though fun. The Spirit still takes about thirty seconds to drop off a new wave.

You spend a lot less time clearing the waves, with two well placed shots you can wipe them all out and have a new dropship on the way before the last one has even managed to turn around.

See for Elite kills, I just run Long night from Bravo until the end. There are 25 elites from that point, and it's a really small section, so it's not like it's time consuming.
It helps kill the monotony as well, since you only have to do that twice.
Also if anyone still needs banshee codes here and they missed the deluge, speak up now. I'm setting any leftovers aside at the end of this week for other stuff.
What are these banshee codes? I must have missed something.

Fair enough. I was doing that anyway with a well-placed grenade or a stolen rocket launcher from one of the marines.

Kind of a random question, but what is the canon purpose of "up armor" as seen on the helmet permutations? Is it supposed to be a layer of protection for the head or something?

I wouldn't mind one as well if you have enough
Also, I always wondered about the up-armored variants as well. Obviously it provides extra armor as Primus mentioned, but for what exact purpose? I mean, is it super tough layered armor that is supposed to stop a headshot, plotwise?
It just seems a little silly, doesn't seem like the little bits of armor it adds would generally be helpful
EDIT - Oh yeah, I need to get that Rocket Race achievement, where does RR show up? I think only Multi Team, right?

Well, on helmets, it is generally mounted a couple of inches from the head, so I guess it could stop a plasma shot from hitting right next to the skull. And if they're angled, like some of them are, they could help deflect needle or other solid rounds away. And the thigh armor is mounted on the side that would likely be facing forward when shooting, and appears very thick.

Banshe code received. FyreWulff is a stand-up guy :^:
This brings me to a question: I finally got around to going through my gmail account and I saw that I had at some point received a code for a Noble Six helmet avatar item. I figured I'd go ahead and redeem that shit, but I couldn't figure out how to do so from my Xbox dashboard. Can someone straighten me out so I don't have to give the Banshee code to a person who doesn't have brain damage, as I appear to?

I'll finish handing out banshee codes to everyone that asked later today. Darley, you might have to fight your girlfriend for one but I think I can cover you both. Just been a bit busy.
Am I the only one that greatly misses Halo 3's map selection? I can't be.
Halo 3 has a lot of good maps.
I like most of the reach maps to but the launch selection isn't as good as 3 was. However the DLC is some of the best maps I've ever played.
I'm still of the opinion that they should of just imported all the halo 1 and 2 and 3 maps into each continuing game so it would create a cache of unique maps. Some things might not port over so well but it would create a larger pool of maps to choose from. Maybe i'm just being unrealistic though.

Which rank completes Jorges armor?
Canonically speaking, I'm sure the UA add-ons are extra armor. They aren't sensor suites.

I still think the maps suffered by being designed for both campaign and multiplayer purpose.
