Well technically you only have to indicate left out of roundabouts if it's practical, and it's arguable that for most roundabouts it isn't.

That damn Art of Manliness website got me all jazzed up on motivation and inspiration and doing something with my life

Then I started doubting myself as to what I wanted to be doing and freaked out a bit because I was so unsure, I started having little anxiety attacks

So I just toned that whole thing down and now this is literally me:

Yeah I have to admit this is something I don't do unless it's a larger, multi-lane roundabout.

We do some procedures. Haven't had my hospital group for a few weeks, my group's reg. is too busy at the moment.

Have an anatomy prac tomorrow..... so little motivation. Counts for like, 2% of one units mark..... but so much stupid rote learning. SO MUCH.

You know I was thinking about that article today.

Is it actually productive posting this everywhere going on about how outraged you are?

I mean I personally don't like it, the arguments are backwards and blah blah blah. But exposure to that article doesn't really reinforce my beliefs.

But what happens when you post it post your moral outrage and someone who doesn't agree with you sees the news article.

It's about a bunch of people (not just one, or you know the 15 or so that are posting here, there were 500 there) getting together. And so, the person who disagrees with you ends up being exposed to the article when they may not have been.

(I assume you're talking about the anti-gay politicans)

what harm does their exposure to the media article do me?

Because it reinforces their world view.

That a lot of people showed up for a rally for something that they believed in.

This will mean it's harder to change minds.

I mean at the end of the day you want more and more people to believe that same sex marriage should be allowed because if it's just two people the law isn't going to change.

but that should rely on moral and ethical arguments, as opposed to them holding an unpopular opinion, right? whether or not their view is supported by other people shouldn't, morally speaking, have anything to do with it.

and obfuscating an event that actually did occur seems ridiculous as an argumentative technique

Yeah but just posting a link and saying, isn't that bad doesn't really accomplish very much. And you are giving more attention to something you disagree with. I mean it would be better to post something pro-your side and give good reasons rather than advertising something that you disagree with.

It's very, the only thing that is worse than being talked about is not being talked about.

That maxim perhaps holds true for advertising, less so for issues of ethics and morality, i think. I mean if you don't talk about anti-gay protestors they don't just disappear and go away. Merely because I disagree with them doesn't mean that attention shouldn't be focused towards them, if only because I believe that a reasonable person will look and say 'how fucking ridiculous'

If a person sees my link and says 'i agree with those anti-gay protestors' and posts here then what do we have? A discussion. And that's not a terrible thing to avoid, that's something to embrace, so long as it doesn't devolve into a flamewar.

Isn't it awfully nice to have a penis?
Isn't it frightfully good to have a dong?
It's swell to have a stiffy.
It's divine to own a dick,
    From the tiniest little tadger
    To the world's biggest prick.
So, three cheers for your Willy or John Thomas.
Hooray for your one-eyed trouser snake,
Your piece of pork, your wife's best friend,
    Your Percy, or your cock.
You can wrap it up in ribbons.
You can slip it in your sock,
But don't take it out in public,
Or they will stick you in the dock,
    And you won't come back.
