So if I was to place an order from a website that is outside my country - say, amazon.ca or amazon.uk - would I need to create a new amazon account? Or could I just use my good ole American amazon.com account, but place the order at one of the international versions?

This works the latter way. You go to the international site and log in with your regular account, and then just ship stuff to an international address from there. But be careful, if you sign up for the free month of Amazon Prime on the international site it's technically different from the free trial on the US site. So if you don't want it to auto renew you'd have to go into your account settings separately on each different Amazon site you activated the trial on.

My favourite Christmas movie is Ernest Saves Christmas.
We watch it every year. On multiple occasions.
    Sometimes in the summer.
    White Christmas is second fav.

Weirdly enough, out of all the countless adaptations out there that one is one of the closest to Dickens' actual book.

If it weren't for the annoying kid in that movie, it would be a yearly favorite of mine.

But that stinkin' kid is so annoying.

Love Actually is one that the gf and I watch every year. Will prob watch it on Thursday in fact.

    Also Elf.

Santa, fuck it. I am buying PATV: Season 2 right now. I waited until yesterday and forgot the final day to order and get all the staff's sigs passed. They extended it to tomorrow, so I am not taking my chances of hoping I get it. I am getting it. If I do happen to get another copy, I can still gift the one I bought, so all is good.

Oh man, Jingle All The Way is fantastic, too. I love any movie that involves Arnold yelling emphatically at children. Which explains why I love Kindergarten Cop so much.

Ha ha, I love it, Scruple. Brilliant bit about opening a box and staring down the pox. The collection is also impressive. I've never *really* wanted any of those (chicken pox and mad cow are very tempting), but I've always found them adorable has heck.
Also, they still make boxed versions of PC games? =P

Santee? Hear that sound? It is the clickety clack of me composing the missive(s) that shall arrive with your gift(s).

How is it that I can be typing that and this at the same time? Perhaps I have learned to twist the space-time continuum. If so, you can expect your gift sometime last week in the alternate timeline.

So if anyone remembers, I ordered something for my Santee and ended up getting the wrong item. They refunded my money and told me, for my trouble, I could just keep the wrong item I received.

I tried ordering it again, this time a used "Like New" copy from Amazon, and this time it was the right thing, but it was damaged and in otherwise-poor condition. They said the same thing. Here's a refund, don't worry about sending it back.

I'm getting a lot of free stuff trying to order this thing for my Santee!!

Man, the sign-ups closed before Halloween this year. There's a major push to avoid deadbeats this year, so doing the sign-ups earlier gives a larger window in which to start working on the gifting.

Since the signups were earlier this year I didn't expect or know, cause I missed the sticky and thus missed the cutoff date. Literally, just today I thought to myself, oh it's mid/late November, they should have a sticky up by now, ah there it is... wait WHAT?!
